PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Anton Ilmarinen (ranked 935 p4p, 1077 weight class) and Vinyl Tintley (ranked 134 p4p, 152 weight class). On his way into the cage it seems that Anton Ilmarinen has been attacked by a crazed fan! It looks like it might have been the just bleed guy! Luckily Anton Ilmarinen seems to be OK! I thought that lunatic was in prison!?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 9 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Anton Ilmarinen!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 7 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Vinyl Tintley!
The judges for this bout are Ian Loll, Elvis Blanc and Dillan Fox.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ilmarinen throws a body shot but no joy.
Tintley misses with a looping left.
Tintley comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range.
Ilmarinen misses the shot to the body.
And Tintley tries to counter it with a takedown but Ilmarinen pushes his down on his head and steps out.

Ilmarinen feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
Ilmarinen is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.
Tintley lands a beautiful sweep and he's now moved into his opponent's guard.

Ilmarinen bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Tintley's guard.

Tintley looking for a guillotine here but Ilmarinen defends easily.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Tintley has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Ilmarinen can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Ilmarinen wants to control from the top but Tintley keeps moving.
Ilmarinen lands a nice shot whilst sitting in his opponent's guard.
