PBP Commentary |
Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Vladamir Fedetenko (ranked 125 p4p, 128 weight class) and Ryder Young (ranked 9 p4p, 11 weight class). Young has chosen Of Monsters and Men - Destroyer as his entrance music. Both these guys have solid standup skills and neither is particularly fantastic on the ground, so let's hope for a nice standup war!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 11 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Vladamir Fedetenko!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 13 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Ryder Young!
The judges for this bout are Yuuki Gou, Ren Mimura and Tatsuya Matsuyama.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Young swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and Fedetenko counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps Young thinking.
Young slips in close and lands a nice hook before moving back out of range.
Fedetenko slips a jab and a cross from Young.
A looping hook to the body misses from Young. Fedetenko does a little dance to reset his feet.
Young looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.
Nice straight punches there by Fedetenko. You know Roy Jones Jr respects the hands of Fedetenko.
It looks like Ryder Young has been cut.
Young misses with a body shot
and Fedetenko counters with a straight right hand.
Fedetenko lands a big uppercut and Young crumbles to the floor! The ref thinks about stopping the fight but Young looks OK. Fedetenko waves Young back to his feet!
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
BAM! Fedetenko delivers a spinning backfist that drops Young like a ragdoll! This is all oooooveeeer! He was out before he hit the ground!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:39 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Spinning Backfist). Vladamir Fedetenko!
Our winner, Vladamir Fedetenko, made sure he spent some time buttering up the crowd during his post fight interview, which will no doubt bring him a few more fans.
Ryder Young was interviewed post fight and said 'I don’t know mate. Someone said the pub was this way but I don’t see a fucking bar, do you?'.
