Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Jason Hightower (ranked 116 p4p, 320 weight class) and Chew Kok (ranked 5 p4p, 13 weight class). Hightower comes to the cage accompanied by The Power. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 33 - 8 - 1, fighting out of New York, Jason Hightower!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 22 - 12 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Chew Kok!
The judges for this bout are Timothy Bukovac, Frank Antenori and Jack Bonds.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hightower scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Kok doesn't seem bothered though.
Kok misses the jab.
A little feinted left hand from Hightower on the counter but he doesn't commit to it.
Kok wants to clinch up but Hightower keeps it at a distance.
Hightower went nuts there looking for a big combo counter but none of the flurry connected.
Donk. Hightower catches Kok right on the button with a cross.

It looks like Chew Kok has been cut.
Kok misses with a body kick.
Hightower is looking to counter with a body kick.
Kok throws an off balance right hand
and Kok takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.

and Hightower counters with a good, hard body kick but Kok shrugs it off.
Kok catches Hightower with a nice straight right. He seems pissed - ooooh, it's on now! On like donkey kong!

Kok tries to throw a body punch but Hightower avoids it by throwing Kok back against the cage.
Hightower is trying to break the clinch but Kok has him pressed against the cage.
Kok throws a hook to the body. More of an arm punch but it's all scoring with the judges.
Hightower wants to break free but Kok has control.
Kok misses with a punch to the body.
Hightower tries to break the clinch but Kok is controlling the position.
Hightower prevents a body shot from Kok.

Hightower's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
The fighters circling - Hightower throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
Kok throws out a counter right but Hightower avoids it with no problem.
Hightower has been working on his boxing with his coaches at Blacktalians MMA in the buildup to the fight.
Kok misses with a looping right.
Hightower was looking to counter that move with a punch but didn't quite pull the trigger.
Kok misses with an uppercut
and Hightower counters with a straight punch to the midsection.

Hightower cracks Kok with a nice right hand that draws applause from the crowd.
Nice body kick there by Kok.
Kok cracks Hightower with an open hand slap.
Hightower pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

A lazy left from Kok finds it's target.

Hightower avoids a kick to the body.
Kok looking to land some kicks to the body here.
Kok looks for the body kick but Hightower saw that one coming.

Kok gets in close and instigates a clinch.
Kok tries to throw a body punch but Hightower avoids it by throwing Kok back against the cage.
Kok can't find room to land a body shot as Hightower controls the action.
Kok misses with a shot to the kidneys.

Hightower breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Hightower fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Kok manages to avoid it.
Kok looks to land a right hand but Hightower moved out of range.
Kok moves out of range as Hightower strikes.

Kok throws a body kick, spinning off balance
and Hightower cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
A slapping body kick lands there for Kok.
Kok throws a poor cross that misses
and Hightower counters with a lovely straight right hand!
Kok moves to clinch but Hightower breaks away
and Hightower counters with a right hand to the body.
Kok misses with a hook
and Hightower counters with a nice uppercut.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from Kok.

Chew Kok seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Hightower connects with a crisp jab.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

A close round but Chew Kok will probably get the nod.

Kok tries to land a front kick but Hightower steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Hightower pounces like a tiger and cracks Kok with a vicious hook! Kok is down but not out! Hightower follows up with more strikes forcing the ref to jump in and stop it!
