Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Ben Reed (ranked 962 p4p, 1003 weight class) and Pavel Kostov (ranked 121 p4p, 127 weight class). I can't wait for this one - let's get the fighter introductions out of the way and get this one started!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

With a record of 14 - 10 - 3, fighting out of St Petersburg, Pavel Kostov!
The judges for this bout are Frank Antenori, Timothy Bukovac and Don Winkell.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Reed staying out of range there.
Reed catches Kostov with a nice straight right. He seems pissed - ooooh, it's on now! On like donkey kong!
Reed throws a jab but it's blocked by Kostov.
Reed does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy.
Kostov looked like he wanted to counter with a punch but didn't throw it.
Kostov on the wrong end of a kick to the body.
Reed avoids a lazy jab quite easily.
Kostov throws a leg kick but Reed sees it coming and moves out of range.
Kostov just misses with a punch to the body.
Reed throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Kostov tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Reed was well out of range. Poor timing from Kostov.
Crunch! Reed slams his shin into Kostov's torso.
Reed fakes a jab and then connects with a hook.
Kostov smiles there as he lands a nice right hand right on the button.

Reed's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Kostov connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Reed scrambles back to his feet.

Reed takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor.

Kostov misses with an uppercut. Reed saw that one coming.
Kostov shapes like he's going to throw a leg kick but settles back down.
Reed is looking to counter with a body kick.
Reed fakes a jab and throws a low kick but Kostov checks it well.
Reed throws a head kick that looked like it stung.
Reed misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Reed throws a right hand that misses
and Kostov cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Kostov lands with a thumping leg kick.
Reed walks into a stiff left hand from Kostov.
Reed is looking to land body kicks.
Reed ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Kostov moves away.
Kostov tries to counter by closing the distance.
Both fighters circling a little - Reed finishes the exchange with a kick to the body.
Kostov cracks Reed with a right hand to the side of the head.

Kostov has been working his punching technique in the buildup to the fight and it appears to be paying off.
Kostov throws a leg kick but he was too far away and it doesn't land.
Reed lands a pitter patter jab to the forehead of his opponent.
Kostov drops his hands and takes a jab to the jaw for his troubles.
Reed bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
Reed lifts his leg as if looking to counter with a high kick.
Reed throws a sloppy head kick and Kostov moves out of range easily.
Kostov was about to counter that last move with a leg kick but changes his mind.

Kostov uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Reed.

Kostov swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.

Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from Reed.
Kostov tries to counter with a clinch but Reed shakes him off and moves away.
Reed misses the body punch
and Kostov counters with a nice body shot.
Reed is breathing heavily.
Reed misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Kostov lands with a cross to side of his opponent's head.
A head kick misses from Reed.
Reed thows a left - swing and a miss!
Kostov scores with a hook.
Kostov slips a straight right by Reed.
A countering left hand to the body from Kostov misses.
Kostov ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.
A nice side step and Kostov releases a counter shot to the body, but it doesn't find it's home.
Reed misses with a left hand
and Kostov counters with an inside leg kick.
The crowd applaud the fighters' efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Kostov throws the kick towards the body but Reed avoids it.
Reed takes a shot right to the bread basket.
Kostov chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Reed can pounce on him.

Kostov closes the distance and pushes Reed back into the cage.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

Kostov lands a brutal uppercut that launches Reed off his feet! Reed tumbles to the floor, barely conscious - the referee jumps in to save him from a beating! Wow, what an ending!
