The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Face gets in close and instigates a clinch.
Donovan takes a shot to the head.
Donovan misses with the head strike.
Face with the Thai clinch, lands a knee to the head.

It looks like Dan Donovan has been cut.
Donovan struggles to land a body shot inside as Face controls his hands.

Face is trying to slow down the pace of the fight but Donovan is keeping busy.

Donovan tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Face smiles and moves away.

and Face counters with a stiff right hand.

Donovan pushes Face up against the cage in a clinch.
Face scores with a knee to the head.

Donovan fails to pull guard.

Donovan throws a hook to the side of Face's head but Face sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Face has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Donovan finds it's way round the side to connect with Face's head.

and Face counters with a left and a right that stings Donovan.
Face tries to clinch up.
Donovan feinted with a counter takedown.

and Face counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
Donovan thuds a left hand into Face's body.
Donovan misses with a left hand
and Face connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
Face bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
Face wants to counter the offense by Donovan and move into the clinch position.

Face clinches up with Donovan and pushes him back against the cage.

Face has used his reach advantage pretty well so far tonight.
