Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Marko Kersikov (ranked 313 p4p, 112 weight class) and Mickey Cowan (ranked 49 p4p, 9 weight class). Kersikov's ring entrance music is that housewives' favourite, Re-Style - Spring. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 23 - 10 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Mickey Cowan!
The judges for this bout are William Gold, Steven Brown and Colin Fotheringham.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Cowan throws out a loose jab but Kersikov uses good head movement to avoid it.
Cowan dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Kersikov. That did some damage!
Kersikov misses with a left hand
and Cowan connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
Kersikov moves out of range as Cowan strikes.
It looked like Kersikov wanted to counter with a hook but didn't fully commit.
Kersikov bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
Kersikov has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance.

Cowan throws a predictable looking body shot
and Kersikov connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
Kersikov on the receiving end of a decent leg kick there by Cowan. Cowan obviously looking to wear him down.
