Nogueira comes to the cage accompanied by Bloodthirsty. Bimbo Slaissi has the power to score a knockout today if he connects clean with Diego Nogueira's chin.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nogueira wants to clinch
and Slaissi counters with a right hand to the body.
Slaissi jabs. That one connects to the head of his opponent.
Nogueira tries to close the distance and clinch up but Slaissi swats him away and circles back towards the center.

Slaissi throws out a loose jab but Nogueira uses good head movement to avoid it.
Nogueira gets his head snapped back by a nice shot there.
A nice leg kick from Slaissi, right into the meat of the thigh.
Nogueira shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Slaissi pinned against the cage. Slaissi gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.

Nogueira shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Slaissi but Slaissi pushes him off and we're back to square one.

Slaissi throws out a loose jab but Nogueira uses good head movement to avoid it.
Nogueira changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Slaissi tries to avoid it but Nogueira manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Slaissi to the ground. Slaissi escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Slaissi paws at his opponent with the jab and then lunges in with a straight, right on the button.
Slaissi stuffs the takedown.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

Slaissi lands with a thumping leg kick.
Slaissi looks to land a left hand but Nogueira moved out of range nicely.
Slaissi scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business.
Nogueira shoots for a double leg takedown but Slaissi sprawls well. He's pushed Nogueira's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.

Slaissi gets caught flat footed, as Nogueira shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.

Slaissi manages to wriggle out and sneak his way back up to his feet, so the fighters are now clinched up against the cage.
Nogueira is trying to pull guard but being pressed up against the cage enables Slaissi to keep the fight standing.
Nogueira jumps guard but Slaissi stands there with Nogueira around his waist. Nogueira gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.

Diego Nogueira seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

and Slaissi counters with a crisp right hand that drops Nogueira! Slaissi lets Nogueira back up to his feet, looking for a finish!

Nogueira tries to get into range but Slaissi steps to the side and lands a beautiful hook that drops Nogueira! He's faceplanted into the mat, ass in the air... he's out cold! That's an image he won't want to show his grandkids when he gets older! Slaissi scores the big KO victory!
