Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 10 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Thomas Forrester Jr! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 8 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Fabio Gurgel! The judges for this bout are Joseph Jones, Jorge Garcia and Bruno Lombardi.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Forrester Jr connects with a jab.
It looks like Fabio Gurgel has been cut. Forrester Jr misses with a series of wild punches.
Forrester Jr throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Gurgel. A big right from Gurgel misses. Gurgel shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Forrester Jr sprawls well. Forrester Jr wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Gurgel gets slowly back to his feet. Forrester Jr throws the left hand but Gurgel avoids the punch easily. Fabio Gurgel seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Nice sprawl there from Forrester Jr as Gurgel shoots in. No luck with that takedown attempt from Gurgel. Thomas Forrester Jr has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Fabio Gurgel. Forrester Jr scores with a crisp jab that stopped Gurgel in his tracks. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Forrester Jr gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard. Gurgel sitting in guard here, content to control. Forrester Jr on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Forrester Jr tries to get out of the position. Forrester Jr throws a couple of shots from the bottom but they don't land.

The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work. Gurgel trying to control but Forrester Jr is working from the bottom.
The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity. Thomas Forrester Jr is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Forrester Jr fails to land with a series of punches.
Forrester Jr throws a combination. Gurgel tries to block but a couple of punches get through. Gurgel with a lazy takedown attempt and Forrester Jr counters with a left and a right that stings Gurgel.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Forrester Jr stuns Gurgel with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range. Forrester Jr lands with a good body shot. Forrester Jr comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range. This has been an exciting period of action! Gurgel throws a wild hook but Forrester Jr just manages to duck under it and - ooooh! Gurgel gets nailed by a brutal uppercut which crumples him back against the cage! The referee jumps in - Forrester Jr raises his hands in celebration and walks away!
