Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Julius Lew (ranked 456 p4p, 728 weight class) and Nyrkki Rauta (ranked 64 p4p, 104 weight class). Rauta has chosen Right On- Showcore as his entrance music. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 16 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Julius Lew!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 27 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Nyrkki Rauta!
The judges for this bout are Donald Grub, William Gold and Colin Fotheringham.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lew fakes a head shot and lands one to the body.
Lew lands a head shot.
It looks like Nyrkki Rauta has been cut.
Rauta tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Lew was well out of range. Poor timing from Rauta.
Lew feints and then cracks Rauta's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Rauta down.
Rauta connects with a single shot there.
Nyrkki Rauta seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
A lazy body kick from Rauta
and Lew counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
Lew looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.
Lew punishes Rauta's body with a nice straight punch.
Lew misses with a double jab.
Lew steps to his left, right into the path of a big body kick from Rauta. That one must have hurt.
This has been an exciting period of action!

Lew gets cracked with a nice right hand there by Rauta.
Rauta moves out of range of the strikes.
A low kick from Lew is predictable there
and Rauta counters with a straight right hand.
Rauta throws a leg kick
and Lew connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
Rauta tries a low kick but Lew avoids it.
Rauta looks to land a left hand but Lew moved out of range nicely.
Lew is looking to counter punch.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Rauta waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Lew.
Lew cracks Rauta with a big right hand that sends him to the floor! Rauta looks wobbly but he's sprung back up to his feet straight away… can Lew finish him?
Rauta lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Lew circles away quickly and effectively.
Lew cracks Rauta with a big right hand that sends him crashing to the floor. Lew has the opportunity to follow him to the ground but instead he's beckoning Rauta to stand back up!
Rauta is rocked!
That has opened up Nyrkki Rauta's cut even more.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Rauta is aggressively charging in as Lew backs up avoiding any damage. Lew tosses out a jab and Rauta runs right into it face first! Rauta is out cold! Lew dropped down on all fours and is barking in Rauta's face like a pit bull in celebration until the ref was finally able to pull him away!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:24 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Julius Lew!
An out of breath Julius Lew thanked his loyal fans in his post fight interview, giving them credit for his success over the course of his career.
