Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Kwame Nti (ranked 95 p4p, 341 weight class) and Artemis Entreri (ranked 15 p4p, 46 weight class). I don't know about you partner, but I'm pumped for this one!

With a record of 12 - 4 - 0, fighting out of New York, Artemis Entreri!
The judges for this bout are Ren Mimura, Kenichi Hosakawa and Taro Takaoka.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Entreri buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.
Entreri misses with a body shot.

Nti rushes Entreri and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.
Nti has a couple of punches blocked by Entreri.
Nti working some nice short punches in the clinch.
Entreri goes for a body shot but it's blocked.
Entreri digs a right hand underneath Nti's ribcage. Nti let out a lung full of air as it connected.
Nti lands a left hand.

Nti is trying to trip Entreri. He has hold of a leg but Entreri is hopping around, keeping his balance for the moment. Nti persists though and gets the takedown into guard.
Entreri wants to get back to his feet but Nti is in a dominant position and won't allow it.

Entreri has a closed guard, preventing anything of note from happening. Perhaps he's looking to stall.

Nti has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Nti seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Entreri for as long as he can get away with.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.

It looks like Kwame Nti has been cut.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.

Nti throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Entreri stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.

Entreri is pressed up against the cage. Nti has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Entreri down to the mat. Entreri avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.

Nti drops down looking for an ankle pick but Entreri pulls his leg out and moves away.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Nti takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it.
