Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Ryu Inhanamoto (ranked 64 p4p, 243 weight class) and Adan Puno (ranked 10 p4p, 31 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 14 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Ryu Inhanamoto! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 25 - 13 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Adan Puno! The judges for this bout are Don Winkell, Percy O'Donnell and Jack Bonds.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Inhanamoto misses with a left hand and Puno counters with a nice uppercut.
It looks like Ryu Inhanamoto has been cut. Puno ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Inhanamoto moves away. Inhanamoto swings and misses with a shot to the body and Puno counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head. Inhanamoto misses with a straight right. A big right from Puno misses. Inhanamoto lands with a shot to the body. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Inhanamoto throws a shot to the body.
Inhanamoto misses with a lunging right hand
and Puno counters with a crisp one two that drops Inhanamoto! Puno thinks about following him to the mat for a moment but instead steps back and waves Inhanamoto to his feet! Inhanamoto is in big trouble! We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Puno throws a body kick, spinning off balance and Inhanamoto counters with a good low kick that Puno was not able to check.
That's one minute gone in the round. Puno moves out of range of the strikes. Puno flicks out a counter leg kick but Inhanamoto steps away. Inhanamoto tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Puno was well out of range. Poor timing from Inhanamoto. Puno swings away with a counter right hand but no contact made. Inhanamoto lands a really nice looking cross but Puno seems unphased.
Puno avoids a lazy jab quite easily. And an attempted straight right on the counter from Puno! But no joy. Puno misses with an uppercut. Inhanamoto throws a body kick but he wasn't in range. Both fighters are looking to counter, which isn't making for the most exciting fight in the world. Inhanamoto lands with a nice body kick. Inhanamoto throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Puno stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A jab from Puno does it's job there. Inhanamoto thuds his shin into the meat of Puno's side. Puno looks winded! Puno takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness. A head kick misses from Inhanamoto. Inhanamoto lunges at Puno with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by Puno's hand.
It looks like Adan Puno has been cut. This has been an exciting period of action! Puno takes a hook to the side of the head. I wonder if that's got his ears ringing.
Inhanamoto misses with a body shot.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Inhanamoto connects with a hook to the side of his opponent's head. Inhanamoto steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Puno. Inhanamoto swung with a counter punch to the body but it didn't connect. Puno throws a body kick that misses and Inhanamoto counters with a nice right hand that sends Puno toppling to the canvas! Puno scrambles and gets back to his feet - can Inhanamoto finish him?! Puno bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes. Puno keeping at a good range here, avoiding a leg kick.
Puno drops his hands momentarily. Inhanamoto doesn't need a second invitation, landing a shot to the temple. Puno staggers and falls to the mat and the ref dives in to save him from any more punishment. Puno doesn't seem happy with the stoppage but he was done.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:46 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Ryu Inhanamoto! Ryu Inhanamoto seemed lost for words in his post fight interview but he remembered to thank his fans and directed everyone to his website.
