Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Worf Mogh (ranked 303 p4p, 225 weight class) and Mickey Cowan (ranked 19 p4p, 16 weight class). Mogh comes to the cage accompanied by Gimme The Loot. Worf Mogh had a look across the cage there at his opponent. He definitely means business

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 15 - 4 - 1, fighting out of Las Vegas, Worf Mogh!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 31 - 13 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Mickey Cowan!
The judges for this bout are Hirohito Nitta, Kenichi Hosakawa and Yasuomi Hirokawa.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A nice inside leg kick there by Cowan. That's going to slow Mogh down.
Cowan moves out of range as Mogh strikes.
Cowan misses with a jab, cross combination.
Cowan throws a leg kick

and Mogh counters with a nice double leg into side control. Cowan won't be happy with that.
Cowan avoids any damage from the ground and pound of Mogh.
Mogh fails to land a wild elbow strike.
Mogh trying to control the position but Cowan is working away.
Cowan can't do much from the bottom here.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Cowan stops Mogh from passing to mount.
Mogh definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight.
Cowan looking for a sweep but Mogh has passed into full mount! Oh no!

That's one minute gone in the round.
Mogh sends his fist crashing into the mat - the crowd let out a collective ooooooh. Let's hope he's not broken it!
Cowan in a bad spot here, taking shots to the head.
Mogh fakes a shot to the body and cracks his opponent in the head. Nice ground and pound there!
Mogh looking to finish with strikes here!
Mogh thowing shots but they're missing.
Mogh trying to control but he's not successful this time.
Mogh has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

That's two minutes gone in the round.

Mogh is working for a guillotine from mount but Cowan frees his head quite easily.
Mogh landing punches.
Mogh looking to ground and pound but Cowan is blocking nicely.
Mogh throws an elbow from mount that misses. Lucky escape for Cowan because Mogh loaded up on that one.
Cowan tries to lock up and control but Mogh gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.
Cowan is squirming around, avoiding Mogh's attempts to control the action.
Mogh looking to control and managing it successfully.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Cowan is writhing around trying to get back to his feet.
Mogh throwing sloppy strikes here. Perhaps if he tightened up his striking from such a dominant position, he'd be able to finish easier.

Mogh working to secure an arm triangle but it's not happening for him just yet.
Cowan wriggling around on the bottom manages to avoid the strikes thrown by Mogh.
Mogh punishing his opponent with strikes.
Mogh controlling from mount.
Mogh thowing strikes but they're hitting the gloves, not doing any damage.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Mogh wants to control the pace but Cowan is squirming around nicely.
Mogh looking to finish with strikes here!
Mogh scores with a couple of good head shots there.
Mogh scoring with some good ground and pound from mount here. Will he manage to finish Cowan?
Mogh lands a heavy elbow.

Cowan is rocked!
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Cowan is in all sorts of trouble here.
Cowan is still in real trouble! Can Mogh finish him?
Mogh looking to ground and pound his opponent to a finish here.
Cowan tries to hold on but Mogh pushes him away.
Cowan seems to have recovered his senses.
Mogh lands a heavy elbow.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

Worf Mogh dominated that round.
That's time! Back to the action!

Cowan misses the shot to the body.
Cowan misses with a wild body shot.
Mogh is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Cowan can do to turn this around?
Mogh blocks a jab.
Mogh appears to be looking for a counter punch to the body.
Cowan lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh.
Cowan misses with a body shot.
A nice leg kick lands there from Cowan.
Cowan misses with a double jab
and Mogh counters with a big right hand! Oh Cowan is in trouble here! Mogh follows up with more strikes and that's it! The ref has stopped it!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:28 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Worf Mogh!
