Cango comes into the arena with Into Action by Tim Armstrong blaring out of the sound system. Both fighters really staring each other down here, as Jones Anderson enters the cage!

And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 19 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Jones Anderson!
The judges for this bout are Jack Bonds, Percy O'Donnell and Don Winkell.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Cango misses with a looping right.

It looks like Jones Anderson has been cut.
Anderson throws a body kick that sends a sickening thudding noise reverberating around the arena.
A head kick misses from Anderson.
Cango fails in his attempt to clinch.
Cango ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Anderson moves away.
Anderson scores with a jab to the jaw.
Anderson dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Cango. That did some damage!
Cango tries to bum rush Anderson with a series of wild strikes but Anderson uses good footwork to avoid the assault.

The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

A bone on bone clash there as Cango blocks the leg kick.
Cango lifts his leg as if looking to counter with a high kick.

Cango definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight.

Anderson needs to keep his hands up - Cango had a free shot at his head there.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Jack Cango seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Cango drops Anderson with a beautiful combination! Anderson stares up at his opponent, who ushers him back to his feet - Cango is looking for the KO!

Anderson is rocked!
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Cango lands hard precision jab right on the jaw that stiffens Anderson up and sends him tumbling to the mat! The ref grabs Cango from behind before he can pounce. Some folks in the crowd didn't like that stoppage, but I saw Anderson's eyes roll way back in his head, he was done.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:51 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Jack Cango!
Jack Cango retains his middleweight title!
A relieved looking Jack Cango thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
