Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Chris Pauschi (ranked 1408 p4p, 791 weight class) and Tonacatecuhtli Aztlan (ranked 164 p4p, 99 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 17 - 16 - 2, fighting out of Amsterdam, Chris Pauschi! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 13 - 2 - 1, fighting out of New York, Tonacatecuhtli Aztlan! The judges for this bout are Stewart Dunkirk, George Francis and Robert Twigg.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Aztlan with a hook.
It looks like Chris Pauschi has been cut. Aztlan throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Aztlan throws a leg kick but he was too far away and it doesn't land. Pauschi feinted there with a counter leg kick. Aztlan uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Pauschi has time to react. A big left from Aztlan misses. Aztlan throws a hook to the side of Pauschi's head but Pauschi sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Aztlan goes for a spinning back kick but it misses. Pauschi has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Aztlan finds it's way round the side to connect with Pauschi's head. Aztlan keeps his opponent at a distance with a nice jab.
That's one minute gone in the round. Aztlan misses with a right hand and Pauschi counters with a straight punch to the midsection. Aztlan scores with a nice head shot. Pauschi slips a straight right by Aztlan. Aztlan has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout. Pauschi uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Aztlan. Pauschi fires out a quick counter leg kick but Aztlan just manages to avoid it. Pauschi is pinned up against the cage taking some big shots here. The referee is looking closely deciding whether he should stop the fight.
Aztlan throws out a loose jab but Pauschi uses good head movement to avoid it. Pauschi looked to counter with a high kick but didn't commit.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Aztlan throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Pauschi sees it coming and avoids it easily. Tonacatecuhtli Aztlan seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Pauschi chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Aztlan can pounce on him.
Nice shot by Aztlan. Aztlan works Pauschi's body with a nice hook. A slapping body kick lands there for Aztlan. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Aztlan connects with a jab.
Chris Pauschi's cut is getting worse. Aztlan misses with a two punch combination.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Aztlan lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Pauschi avoids the body shot from Aztlan.
Aztlan just manages to avoid a counter high kick fromPauschi. Aztlan misses with an uppercut. Pauschi saw that one coming. Aztlan is landing a lot of head punches in this opening round! Pauschi had better start moving his head a bit unless he wants his face to turn into mush. Aztlan connects with a solid leg kick. Aztlan misses with a low kick.
Aztlan drops Pauschi with a beautiful combination! Pauschi stares up at his opponent, who ushers him back to his feet - Aztlan is looking for the KO! This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Aztlan scores with a crisp jab that stopped Pauschi in his tracks.
Chris Pauschi's cut is bleeding quite badly. He's got to try and protect it.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Aztlan feints and then winds up with a huge right hand that connects perfectly and sends Pauschi sprawling to the canvas! Pauschi rolls over backwards and springs off the cage and manages to regain his footing - how acrobatic! Oh, he's still wobbly - can Aztlan finish him?!
Pauschi is rocked! Aztlan stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush. Oh Pauschi is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Jeez, Chris Pauschi's cut is really nasty now. The referee must be thinking about getting that checked. Pauschi ducks into an uppercut from Aztlan and that's knocked him out cold! This one is all over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:26 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Tonacatecuhtli Aztlan! A relieved looking Tonacatecuhtli Aztlan thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
