Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Marcel Romanow (ranked 494 p4p, 392 weight class) and Buster Norberg (ranked 68 p4p, 52 weight class). Norberg has chosen Real American - Rick Derringer as his entrance music. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 20 - 17 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Marcel Romanow! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 9 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Buster Norberg! The judges for this bout are Nard Betker, Paul Aken and Albert Achterberg.
 The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Norberg avoids the body shot from Romanow.
A slow jab from Romanow misses its intended target. It seemed like Norberg was going to counter with the hook but didn't fully commit to it. Norberg steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Romanow. Norberg walks into a straight right hand from Romanow. Norberg defending well as Romanow loads up on a big left hand. Norberg now looks to counter with a shot at the body. Romanow throws the left hand but Norberg avoids the punch easily. Romanow has his takedown stuffed and Norberg counters with a straight punch to the midsection. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Romanow drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard. Norberg is trying to control the position but Romanow postures up.

 That's three minutes gone in the round. Norberg controls Romanow momentarily but Romanow frees himself. Romanow in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time. Norberg is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent. Romanow wants to control from the top but Norberg keeps moving. Norberg trying to control the position.
We've been hearing that Romanow has been drilling a lot of ground and pound in training, so let's see if he get the finish.

Romanow manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem. Norberg is trying to control the position but Romanow postures up.

Romanow got a little sloppy there for a moment and Norberg has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Romanow has managed to get both his arms back between Norberg's legs - danger averted. And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

Marcel Romanow seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Romanow throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Norberg. Norberg throws a jab but it's blocked by Romanow. Romanow looks to land a left hand but Norberg moved out of range nicely. Norberg appears to be waiting to throw a counter punch to the body.
Romanow feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Norberg is trying to keep Romanow in close.

Norberg tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Romanow paws at him with a jab and circles away. Romanow will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Romanow lands with a cross to side of his opponent's head.
 It looks like Buster Norberg has been cut. Romanow tests Norberg's chin there with a solid looking shot. And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that. Norberg wants to control but Romanow is keeping busy.
The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Romanow connects with a nice short shot to Norberg's temple.
