Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Ghost Chai (ranked 44 p4p, 16 weight class) and Takeda Shida (ranked 7 p4p, 3 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the heavyweight championship of the world! Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 25 - 13 - 0, fighting out of London, Ghost Chai! And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 19 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Takeda Shida! The judges for this bout are Paulo Santos, Leandro Rodrigues and Thiago Cunha.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Shida needs to keep his hands up - Chai had a free shot at his head there.
It looks like Takeda Shida has been cut. Shida throws a head kick but Chai moves out of range.
Shida misses with a body shot.
Chai appears to be looking for a big counter. Both fighters are looking to counter, which isn't making for the most exciting fight in the world. Chai swinging wildly here.
Chai smiles there as he lands a nice right hand right on the button. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Shida rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Chai moves out of range and avoids them all easily. Shida changes levels and scores with a jab to the body. Chai tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
That's one minute gone in the round. Shida swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target. Chai is looking to counter punch. Shida tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Chai was well out of range. Poor timing from Shida. A head kick by Chai misses and Shida counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head. Shida misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
It looked like Chai wanted to counter with a hook but didn't fully commit. A low kick from Chai is predictable there and Shida counters with a nice uppercut. A clash of legs there as Shida blocks the low kick. Chai misses with a left hand enabling Shida to counter with a crisp jab. Chai throws a leg kick but Shida sees it coming and moves out of range.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Chai walks into a straight right hand from Shida. Shida misses with a double jab.
Shida tries to check a leg kick but that clearly hurt him. Oooooh!!! Chai has knocked Shida down with a huge combo! Chai steps away and waves a wobbly Shida back to his feet! This one might not go much longer! We've been told by Chai's head coaches at Master Chai's Dojo that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Shida scores with a jab. Chai acknowledges it with a nod of the head. That's three minutes gone in the round. Chai tries to score with a leg kick but it misses it's target. Shida looks like he wanted to counter with a high kick but didn't throw it. Chai misses with a lunging right hand
and Shida counters with a right hand to the body. Shida is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two. Shida pushing out the jab but it's not landing. A low kick from Chai misses and Shida counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
It looks like Ghost Chai has been cut. Chai misses with a leg kick and Shida counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head. Shida throws a leg kick but Chai sees it coming and checks it nicely. Chai throws a quick counter kick to the body but Shida avoids it. Chai swings widly with a right hand
and Shida counters with a quick right hand to the jaw. Chai has a nice red mark on his side after a thudding body kick by Shida.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Chai misses with a left hand and Shida counters with a crisp right hand that drops Chai! Shida lets Chai back up to his feet, looking for a finish!
Chai is rocked! We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Chai throws a poor cross that misses
and Shida counters with a big right hand! Oh Chai is in trouble here! Shida follows up with more strikes and that's it! The ref has stopped it!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:17 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Takeda Shida! Takeda Shida is the new heavyweight champion! During a confident post fight interview, Takeda Shida thanked all his fans. He seemed very genuine when describing how motivated his fans keep him.
