Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between David Choke (ranked 83 p4p, 134 weight class) and Lamar Gordon (ranked 14 p4p, 22 weight class). Gordon has chosen Coming Home - Ditty ft. Skylar Grey as his entrance music. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 40 - 24 - 1, fighting out of London, David Choke! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 17 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Lamar Gordon! The judges for this bout are Chris Downing, George Francis and Wesley Smith.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! We've got one fighter who appears to only be looking to counter and the other not looking particularly aggressive either, so we could be in for a dull fight. Choke shoots in looking for a takedown. Gordon tries to sprawl out of it but Choke keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Gordon manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing. It seemed like Gordon was going to counter with the hook but didn't fully commit to it. Choke gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily and Gordon counters with a left to the body. Both fighters are looking to counter, which isn't making for the most exciting fight in the world. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Gordon stuffs the takedown. Gordon swings away with a counter right hand but no contact made. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for David Choke. That's going to take a lot out of him. Choke is trying hard to land a takedown here. Gordon sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.

Choke shoots in for a double leg but Gordon sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy. Choke backing away here, and Gordon unleashes a leg kick that just misses. Choke looks to score some points with some ground and pound. Gordon felt the need to train up his defensive grappling in the buildup to the fight. Presumably he was expecting to be in a difficult position like this, so let's see if he can get out of it. Choke is looking for a kimura but Gordon is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Choke to get the leverage. Gordon blocking the ground and pound attempt from Choke. David Choke dominated that round. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. Gordon leaves Choke with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt. Choke dives in for a single leg takedown but Gordon sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage. Gordon let fly with a counter punch to the body but it didn't land. Gordon can't find room to land a body shot as Choke controls the action.
Choke has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Gordon avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for David Choke. That's going to take a lot out of him. A nice left hand lands by Gordon.

Choke shoots and misses and Gordon counters with a kick to the head that grazes his opponent. Choke is lucky that one didn't land flush. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Choke tries for a takedown but Gordon sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily. Choke closes this distance looking for a takedown but Gordon circles away. Gordon is clearly trying to counter these attacks from Choke with a body shot.

Gordon let fly with a counter punch to the body but it didn't land. With the fighters clinched against the cage, Gordon creates a bit of distance for himself and scores with a nice uppercut. Choke jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Gordon walks away with a smile on his face. Choke gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head. Choke shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Gordon pinned against the cage. Gordon gets the underhooks and manages to circle away. David Choke seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Choke fails with the takedown.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Choke. The fight stays on the outside here - Choke looks like he's thinking about clinching though. Choke looks for a takedown but Gordon sprawls well.

Gordon flicks out a counter leg kick but Choke steps away. Choke looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight. Choke tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Gordon paws at him with a jab and circles away. Gordon throws out a counter right but Choke avoids it with no problem. Choke misses with a takedown attempt - Gordon sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses. Gordon appeared to try and counter that last move with a leg kick.

Lamar Gordon showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. Choke shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Gordon but Gordon pushes him off and we're back to square one. Gordon throws out a counter right but Choke avoids it with no problem. Lamar Gordon seems to be getting the better of the standup. Choke closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth. Choke throwing strikes but Gordon manages to buck up and roll into a nice reversal - now he's on top in side control!

It looks like David Choke has been cut. It's got to the stage where if one of these guys blows hard enough, the other might fall over. Choke misses with a takedown and Gordon counters with a good, hard body kick but Choke shrugs it off.

Lamar Gordon dominated that fourth round. The cut man is working on David Choke's cut. Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin! This is the final round! Choke misses with a takedown and Gordon counters with a huge left! Choke is in big trouble! He's backing up but Gordon isn't giving him chance to recover. Under a barage of punches the ref has to step in to save Choke from any more damage. A dominating finish by Gordon!
