Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Jaylen Stout (ranked 201 p4p, 2610 weight class) and Milton Goodman (ranked 18 p4p, 167 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 20 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Jaylen Stout! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 7 - 7 - 0, fighting out of New York, Milton Goodman! The judges for this bout are Ren Mimura, Shigeki Sano and Kenichi Hosakawa.
 The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Goodman lands with a hook. Stout tried to avoid it but it clipped the top of his head. Goodman connects with a looping right hand.
Stout moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross. Milton Goodman seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Goodman waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Stout. Goodman throws an overhand right that lands on Stout's shoulder, as Stout tries to avoid the shot. As Goodman tries to get set, Stout tries to push him back and clinch up but Goodman manages to avoid the attempt. Goodman avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Goodman looks to score with a jab to the body but Stout is just out of range. Stout is looking to take this fight into the clinch. Goodman jabbing away but nothing is landing. Goodman looks to land a right hand but Stout moved out of range. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Goodman misses the jab.
Stout closes the distance and pushes Goodman back into the cage. Stout jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Goodman walks away with a smile on his face. Stout gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head. Goodman just misses with a punch to the body.
Goodman lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
This has been an exciting period of action! Stout avoids the head kick by Goodman.

Stout darts in and clinches Goodman up against the cage. Goodman lands a right hand. Goodman is looking to break free of the clinch but Stout has double underhooks. Goodman tries to circle away but Stout has him pinned against the cage. Stout has been working on his balance at Vancouver Island Fight Club, so perhaps that has help him stuff some of the takedown attempts by Goodman. Stout jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Goodman walks away with a smile on his face. Stout gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head. Goodman misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Stout.
Goodman has been working on his striking defense in training and it's paying off as Stout is landing a low percentage of strikes. Goodman throws a hook to the side of Stout's head but Stout sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
Stout fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Goodman, pushing him back against the cage. Stout tries to pull guard but Goodman won't allow it.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Jaylen Stout. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Stout tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Goodman paws at him with a jab and circles away. Donk. Goodman catches Stout right on the button with a cross. Stout wants to clinch. Stout staying out of range there. Stout is trying to close the distance and clinch up, after that failed offence from Goodman.
 That's two minutes gone in the round. Goodman keeps the fight on the outside. Stout tries to close the distance and clinch but Goodman swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. Stout is looking to take this fight into the clinch. Goodman ducks down and throws a hook to the body. Goodman throws a nice looking combination but Stout bobs and weaves to avoid any damage. Stout moves out of range of the strikes. Stout seemed to be looking to counter by closing the distance. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Goodman throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and Stout counters by clinching up. Goodman is trying to break the clinch but Stout has him pressed against the cage. Goodman lands on the inside with an uppercut. Goodman has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate. Goodman working hard to break the clinch. Stout tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.

Goodman decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Stout, up you get! Stout shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it. Goodman misses the shot to the body. Goodman looks to land a right hand but Stout moved out of range. Goodman throws a wild combination but nothing lands.

Stout has his foot on Goodman's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Goodman works his way back into a safe position though.

Goodman stands up from Stout's guard - Goodman perhaps looking for a knockout. Stout tries to grapple but his opponent circles letting Goodman counter with a right hand. Goodman is landing a lot of head punches in this opening round! Stout had better start moving his head a bit unless he wants his face to turn into mush. Stout avoids a lazy jab quite easily. Goodman lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Stout circles away quickly and effectively. Goodman throws a series of punches but Stout avoids them all with ease. Goodman digs a good body shot into Stout's ribs. Stout tries to close the distance and clinch up but Goodman swats him away and circles back towards the center. Goodman takes a swing at Stout's ribcage but misses. Stout needs to keep his hands up - Goodman had a free shot at his head there. Goodman digs a good hook to Stout's body.
Goodman misses with a straight left. Goodman throws a jab when Stout was well out of range. Goodman has been the more effective fighter overall so far. Stout uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Goodman. Goodman is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Stout. Goodman scores with a nice head shot.

Goodman must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu. Stout looking to hit a scissor sweep but Goodman is one step ahead there. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Goodman wants to stand but Stout is controlling his posture from full guard.

Stout is working an open guard so Goodman takes the opportunity to get back to his feet.
 The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily. Goodman gets tackled into the cage by Stout. Stout maintains the clinch. Stout is trying to pull guard but being pressed up against the cage enables Goodman to keep the fight standing.
Stout ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Stout no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Goodman gets to his feet. Stout looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son! Goodman throws a shot from downtown. Stout moves away and avoids it. Goodman throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Stout sees it coming and avoids it easily. Stout slips a straight right by Goodman. Stout tries to clinch up but Goodman circles away and keeps his distance. Goodman looked like he wanted to counter with a punch but didn't throw it. Stout ducks under a wild hook from Goodman. Goodman lands a nice hook to Stout's body. Stout takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes. Goodman pushing out the jab but it's not landing.

Stout darts in and clinches Goodman up against the cage. Goodman is trying to force a seperation but Stout has the dominant position.
Stout pulls guard effortlessly.
Stout is looking to cinch up a triangle. Goodman throws the leg off to one side though and gets in tight to Stout's body to avoid the submission. Stout has instead reached around Goodman's neck and now has a guillotine! Oh, this is biiiig trouble! Stout arches his back and squeezes and forces the tap from his hapless opponent.
