Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Gord Ryan (ranked 40 p4p, 145 weight class) and Nick Durling (ranked 5 p4p, 20 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Ryan might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Rusty Cage. Durling has chosen BABYMETAL - KARATE as his entrance music. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
We've got one fighter who appears to only be looking to counter and the other not looking particularly aggressive either, so we could be in for a dull fight.
Durling lands with a shot to the body.
Durling ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent.
Durling throws a right hand that misses
and Durling takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
Durling misses with a body shot.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Durling ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Ryan moves away.
A slow jab from Durling misses its intended target.
Ryan appears to be looking for a counter punch to the body.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Durling swings away with a body shot that misses
and Ryan counters with a straight right hand.
It looks like Nick Durling has been cut.
Durling throws out a token jab with nothing on it.
Durling misses the body punch
letting Ryan counter with a right hand.
Durling throws a poor cross that misses
and Ryan counters with a crisp right hand that drops Durling! Ryan lets Durling back up to his feet, looking for a finish!
That's two minutes gone in the round.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
