The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Anjo darts in looking for a takedown but OShea gets double underhooks and turns Anjo into the cage.
Anjo takes one on the chin but seems OK.
Anjo throws a half hearted mid kick.
OShea's corner calls for a 1, 2 combination and OShea duly obliges.
Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from Anjo.
OShea is looking to counter the offense by Anjo and move into the clinch.
OShea throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
OShea circles away from the clinch attempt.
OShea really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

OShea fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Anjo sprawls well initially but OShea persists and gets the takedown into half guard.

Porfirigo throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Layer's waist but Layer gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Porfirigo off to one side.
Layer is trying to avoid his opponent's strikes and get into the clinch.

Sight connects with a good right hand that stumbles Howard. Howard circles away out of range and recomposes himself.
It looks like Dean Howard has been cut.
Sight looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.
Sight lands with a kick to the temple. Howard shrugs as if to say "is that all you've got?"
Sight bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Howard's head backwards.
Sight throws a hook to the side of Howard's head but Howard sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.

Howard drops down looking to force a counter takedown but Sight defends it well.
Sight feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits Howards jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist!

Krnacova closes the distance and clinches up with Hedegaard, looking for a takedown. Krnacova pushes Hedegaard against the cage but Hedegaard circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Krnacova has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Bomstaerk walks straight into a right hand from Kosmanov - that's dropped him! Kosmanov jumps into mount and starts pounding away - can he finish?! More strikes go undefended and the referee has to dive in to save Bomstaerk from any more punishment! Bomstaerk complains about the stoppage but falls over as he tries to stand back up, so it was clearly a good stoppage.
