Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 3 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Jim Fish! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 3 - 2 - 1, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Gazali Koekemoer! The judges for this bout are Timothy Bukovac, Percy O'Donnell and Frank Antenori.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Fish lands with a cross to side of his opponent's head. Fish lands a really nice looking cross but Koekemoer seems unphased.
Fish connects with a jab. Koekemoer walks into a left hand. Koekemoer tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. Koekemoer takes a big uppercut there. He seems a bit wobbly but no, he's OK.
Good exchange - Fish coming out on top. Koekemoer pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Koekemoer throws a body kick but he was well out of range there. Koekemoer's coach down at Besta-Fera Training Center was telling us pre-fight that they have been working on Koekemoer's balance. Obviously they view that as a key factor in the outcome of this fight. Koekemoer jabbing away but nothing is landing. Koekemoer keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Fish lands with a right hand. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Fish lands with an overhand left. Fish punishes Koekemoer's body with a nice straight punch. A punch lands to the side of Koekemoer 's head but he takes it in his stride. Fish throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land. Fish scores with a hook. Koekemoer tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Fish was well out of range. Poor timing from Koekemoer. A telegraphed right hand from Fish misses the target.
That's one minute gone in the round. Koekemoer bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Fish's head backwards. It looks like Jim Fish has been cut. Koekemoer takes a shot to the body in his stride.
Koekemoer throws an overhand right that lands on Fish's shoulder, as Fish tries to avoid the shot. Koekemoer tries a head kick but it misses.
Koekemoer steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Fish. Koekemoer moves away from the strike by Fish. Fish will need to close the distance a bit before he attacks - that leg kick was thrown from too far away.
Fish is really peppering his opponent's head with punches. Koekemoer moves out of range of the leg kick from Fish. Fish throws a lazy right hand but Koekemoer sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily. Fish scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice. Koekemoer is working hard to escape and get back to his feet. After a battle for position, Fish asserts his dominance and retains side control. and Koekemoer counters with a head kick. That will keep Fish thinking before he tries any more sloppy attacks!

and he gets countered with a snapping leg kick. Fish loads up on a big right hand but Koekemoer slips the punch. Fish throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Koekemoer stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly. Koekemoer fakes a jab and throws a low kick but Fish checks it well. Fish looks to be in better condition than last time we saw him fight. Obviously he's been working hard on his cardio. Fish blocks a head kick by Koekemoer.

and Koekemoer makes the exchange count by landing a cracking kick to the body. Fish really felt that one! Fish throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Koekemoer sees it coming and avoids it easily. Fish lands a slapping body shot.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Koekemoer with a hook. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Koekemoer gets cracked with a nice right hand there by Fish. Koekemoer manages to get full guard. Fish looking to control the position here, rather than advance. The crowd applaud the fighters' efforts here as the round comes to an end. Koekemoer wants to stand up but Fish is controlling him. A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Fish accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand. This is the final round! Fish throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Koekemoer on the side of the head. Fish slips in close and lands a nice hook before moving back out of range. Fish gets cracked with a nice right hand there by Koekemoer. Koekemoer drops his hands momentarily and Fish takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head. Koekemoer's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Fish connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Koekemoer scrambles back to his feet. Fish scores with a jab to the jaw of his opponent. Koekemoer staying out of range there. Fish misses with a body kick. Koekemoer throws a chopping leg kick but Fish manages to avoid taking any serious damage. Koekemoer throws out a leg kick but Fish moves out of range and Koekemoer only half commits. Thibodeaux throws out a loose jab but Crash uses good head movement to avoid it. Crash doesn't fully commit to the body shot counter. Crash lands a glancing blow to the side of Thibodeaux's head. Thibodeaux throws a shot from downtown. Crash moves away and avoids it. Good shot there by Thibodeaux. Thibodeaux lands a big head kick that sends Crash tumbling to the mat! Thibodeaux takes a step backwards and waves Crash back to his feet - he wants the finish! Crash is rocked! It looks like Joey Crash has been cut. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Thibodeaux and Crash are patiently standing in front of each other looking for an opening. Thibodeaux throws a head kick. It's landed, knocking Crash into next week! Ooooh that was huge! Thibodeaux knows it - he's on the cage flexing is biceps. That's a bit weird considering he won by kick but whatever.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Ahearn seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up. Dukic is looking to stand up but Ahearn isn't so interested in that idea. Dukic is using up a lot of energy trying to get back to his feet. Perhaps he should improve his position first. Dukic can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Ahearn controls the pace.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Mesquita ducks under a wild hook from Brown. Brown punishes Mesquita's body with a nice straight punch.
