Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 21 - 16 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Corwin Anstey! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 7 - 24 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Bsmds Nasmfus! The judges for this bout are Columbo Gatti, Lou da Vinci and David Schapiro.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Anstey looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard. We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake. Anstey with a momentary lay and pray from half guard. Anstey working over Nasmfus with some ground and pound. Nasmfus looks like he wants out of this position, which is understandable. Nasmfus flails away from the bottom but he's not doing any damage.

Nasmfus is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Nasmfus flails away from the bottom but he's not doing any damage.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Nasmfus is trying to stand. Anstey tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position. Anstey looking to ground and pound his opponent to a finish here.
Anstey controlling from the full mount. Nasmfus tries to hold on but Anstey pushes him away. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Anstey lands with some vicious ground and pound - can Nasmfus hang on? And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

Anstey jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Nasmfus walks away with a smile on his face. Anstey gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head. A low kick from Anstey is predictable there and Nasmfus counters with a nice double leg into side control. Anstey won't be happy with that. Anstey tries to bench press Nasmfus off him but Nasmfus keeps the position. Nasmfus wants to stand but Anstey has his arm trapped. Nasmfus goes for an armbar! This could be all over! Wait, no, Anstey rolls with the submission and now he's on top in Nasmfus's guard! Nice work there by Anstey! Anstey preventing the sweep.
That's one minute gone in the round. Nasmfus looking for submissions from the bottom but instead Anstey passes into side control.
A lull in the action here. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Nasmfus is looking for a sweep. Nasmfus struggling a bit here. Anstey gets to mount! Nasmfus was on the offensive and wasn't defending properly.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. Anstey lands a shot to the body, followed up by a shot to the exposed head of his trapped opponent.

Anstey takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position. Anstey seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Nasmfus for as long as he can get away with. Nasmfus is trying to stand back up but Anstey is controlling him

That's four minutes gone in the round. A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd. Nasmfus preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage. Anstey not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up. Anstey landing some decent shots from guard. Nasmfus trying to control the position.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. Bsmds Nasmfus is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Nasmfus takes an uppercut right on the button but keeps his composure.

Corwin Anstey dominated that second round. OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. This is the final round! Nasmfus slips under a jab from Anstey. It looks like Bsmds Nasmfus has been cut. Nasmfus tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Anstey paws at him with a jab and circles away. Nasmfus tries to clinch but Anstey moves away and Anstey counters with a lovely straight right hand! Anstey cracks Nasmfus with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business. Nasmfus is rocked! Nasmfus is looking to take this fight into the clinch. Nasmfus is still on wobbly legs! Can Anstey finish him? Anstey is throwing punches like he's double parked. Oh my word! Huge right hand from Anstey shuts the power down on Nasmfus. Lights out, game over! Anstey is your winner.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Petrov ducks down and throws a hook to the body. Van Cleefe's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Petrov connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Van Cleefe scrambles back to his feet. It looks like Lee Van Cleefe has been cut. Van Cleefe ducks right into an uppercut from Petrov . Petrov closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Van Cleefe to the mat! Van Cleefe manages to get full guard. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Van Cleefe keeping full guard, as Petrov tries to pass. Petrov postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Van Cleefe is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! Savage lands a left and a right that send Hayden crashing to the mat, dazed. Savage thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet! Hayden is rocked! It looks like Clay Hayden has been cut. Hayden circles to his right, straight into a beautiful hook by Savage. Hayden falls face first into the canvas - great knockout victory for Savage!

"You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Anderson, as that shot connected.
Frankies shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Anderson's guard. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Anderson controlling Frankies's posture. The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Durnin misses with a hook. Frost ducked under it nicely. Frost appears to be looking for a big counter. Frost throws a right and a left that both miss. Frost instigates a clinch. A nice glancing elbow lands by Durnin. It looks like Olaf Frost has been cut. Frost blocks an uppercut.

Frost is completely out with his eyes open, only supported by the cage! Save him ref! Eventually the ref decides to do his job and jumps in - Durnin screams abuse at the incompetent official before going over to celebrate with his corner. Brutal stuff!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:42 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Naoise Durnin! After winning the bout, Naoise Durnin thanked all his fans and promised he'd do even better in his next fight. The crowd seemed to love his humility. Kouame throws a looping overhand right but Roussel ducks down to avoid it. Kouame takes a big uppercut there. He seems a bit wobbly but no, he's OK.
Roussel moves away from the strike by Kouame. Kouame clinches. Roussel pushes Kouame back against the cage and lands a hook to the side of the head. Kouame lands with a quick shot inside that doesn't really do much damage. Roussel blocks an uppercut.

Kouame's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. Kouame throws out a token jab with nothing on it. Roussel moves out of range of the strikes. Roussel paws at his opponent with the jab and then lunges in with a straight, right on the button. Roussel walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head. Roussel looks to be in better condition than last time we saw him fight. Obviously he's been working hard on his cardio. Roussel tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Kouame was well out of range. Poor timing from Roussel. Roussel walks into a left hand. Kouame misses with a straight left. Roussel steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Kouame. Roussel drops his hands and takes a jab to the jaw for his troubles. Kouame throws out a loose jab but Roussel uses good head movement to avoid it. Roussel closes this distance looking for a takedown but Kouame circles away.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Kouame's corner calls for a 1-2. Kouame obliges with the 1 part as he scores the single shot and moves back out of range. Roussel bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes. Roussel attempts a counter takedown but Kouame avoids it well and moves away. Roussel's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Kouame connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Roussel scrambles back to his feet. Kouame looks to land a left hand but Roussel moved out of range nicely. Roussel avoids a lazy jab quite easily. Yaya Kouame seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. A big right from Roussel misses. Kouame throws a shot from downtown. Roussel moves away and avoids it. Roussel throws a hook but Kouame blocks it. Kouame throws an overhand right that lands on Roussel's shoulder, as Roussel tries to avoid the shot. Kouame takes an uppercut right on the button but keeps his composure.
Kouame throws a body shot but no joy. Kouame slips under a jab. Yaya Kouame is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Roussel scores with a big left there. The judges will like that one.

Roussel tries to close the distance and clinch but Kouame swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. Roussel takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily. Kouame throws a jab but it's blocked by Roussel. Kouame clinches up with Roussel and pushes him back against the cage. Kouame misses with a punch on the inside.

Yaya Kouame dominated that round. The cut man is working on Dexter Roussel's cut. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! Roussel slips in close and lands a nice hook before moving back out of range. Kouame might want to mix his strikes up a bit more. He's just going for head shots at the moment and that can become a bit predictable. Kouame listening to his corner there, landing a nice uppercut. Kouame clinches with his opponent.

Roussel trying to control the position from guard on top but Kouame is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily. Kouame is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Roussel is controlling him.
That's one minute gone in the round. Roussel throwing strikes but missing. Roussel postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect. Roussel working some strikes from top position. Roussel throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent. Kouame really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Roussel. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Roussel advances position into side control! Kouame is pushing Roussel's head away, looking to escape. Roussel manages to hold on to the position though. Roussel lands an elbow. Kouame pushes Roussel away and creates a bit of space to escape. He's almost out here... but no, Roussel gets a good hold of his legs and remains firmly in side control. Kouame has been the more effective fighter overall so far. Roussel lands some shots froms side control.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Roussel landing strikes. Kouame is rocked! Kouame is pushing Roussel's head away, looking to escape. Roussel manages to hold on to the position though. Kouame is still in real trouble! Can Roussel finish him? Roussel lands some shots froms side control. Roussel scores with a big shot from side control... and another... and another! Oh Kouame is done here - save him referee! More strikes land and eventually the ref does step in and Roussel can finally stop beating on his defenseless opponent!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:28 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Dexter Roussel! A very excited looking Dexter Roussel rambled incoherently for about 5 minutes post fight about how awesome he is. It was kinda funny for a while but then everyone got annoyed.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Handicks slips a straight right by Anderson. Handicks jabbing away but nothing is landing. Anderson clinches with his opponent.
Anderson gets a nice trip takedown into half guard. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Anderson is looking to advance position but Handicks won't allow it. Handicks tries to get to full guard but Anderson has control of the leg. Anderson with a momentary lay and pray from half guard. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Handicks is trying to maintain the position but Anderson is very close to passing his half guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Handicks keeping hold of Anderson's head, controlling as best he can. Handicks is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though. Handicks trying to keep hold of his opponent's head but Anderson manages to pass to mount!
Handicks is trying desperately to improve position. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
That's two minutes gone in the round. My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer. Anderson tries to control but Handicks wriggling away. Anderson mounts Handicks! Really nice guard pass there! Handicks is writhing around trying to get back to his feet. Handicks told us pre-fight that he has been working on his escapes in training. Let's see if he can call on some of his new skills to get back to his feet. Handicks is trying to escape the mount.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Handicks wants to control but Anderson is having none of it. Handicks is bucking up trying to escape but Anderson cracks him with another couple of good strikes. Anderson controlling the position easily from mount. Anderson tries to control but Handicks wriggling away.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Handicks is trying desperately to improve position. Anderson wants to control the pace but Handicks is squirming around nicely. Anderson tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Anderson pushing the pace here, looking to move to his opponents back and work for a finish.

Sparky Anderson dominated that round. Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin! Handicks takes a body punch but keeps moving. Anderson shoots in but no luck this time. Anderson changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Handicks tries to avoid it but Anderson manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Handicks to the ground. Handicks escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. Handicks lands a jab to Anderson's midsection. Anderson throws a right hand that Handicks ducks under and follows up with a left that Handicks also avoids with ease. Anderson moves into the clinch successfully.
Anderson manages to get underhooks and slows down the pace for a moment.
Anderson keeps control of Handicks as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks. I was talking to Anderson's coach per-fight and he was telling me that they'd been working on the clinch in the runup to this fight. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Anderson makes some space for himself and lands an uppercut. The referee calls for Anderson to work.
That's one minute gone in the round. Handicks is trying to work out of this bad position, with his back against the cage. Anderson has dropped down and is looking to force the takedown but it's defended by Handicks after a bit of a struggle. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Sparky Anderson. That's going to take a lot out of him. Some stalling of biblical proportions here from Anderson. Handicks looks like he'd prefer to be striking at range right now. Anderson will no doubt start fighting again in a minute but for now he's just having a little rest, leaning Handicks up against the cage. Handicks is trying to break the clinch but Anderson is controlling him. Anderson is looking for a takedown up against the cage. Handicks gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt. Anderson controlling the action here for a moment.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Handicks letting Anderson take a breather here. Handicks can't break the clinch.
The pace slowing considerably in the clinch, as Anderson takes a break from that fighting nonsense to think about the finer things in life. The ref breaks the fighters up, due to lack of action by Sparky Anderson. Anderson misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out. A punch combination from Handicks misses. Anderson tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Handicks manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat. Handicks throws a lazy uppercut
and Anderson counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body. Anderson tries to clinch up but Handicks circles away and keeps his distance.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Anderson shoots in for a double leg but Handicks sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy. Handicks now looks to counter with a shot at the body. Handicks lands with an uppercut that bounces Anderson off the cage and back into range. Anderson wants to clinch and Handicks counters with a three punch combo that has Anderson backing up. Anderson nods at Handicks to acknowledge the strikes. Handicks misses with an uppercut. Handicks gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Anderson to score an easy takedown into full guard. Handicks is wriggling around but Anderson manages to pass to half guard.
Anderson is looking to pass the guard... He's managed it - he's now in full mount!
That's four minutes gone in the round. Anderson wants to finish this one by submission but Handicks is holding onto his waist, trying to prevent any attacks from Anderson. This has been an exciting period of action! Anderson wants to control the action but instead Handicks gets a body lock and reverses into Anderson's guard! Nice work! Anderson wants to sweep here but Handicks controlling him for the moment. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Anderson has his hands on Handicks's head, controlling the position. And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close second round but I would say that Sparky Anderson will probably get the nod. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! This is the final round! Anderson slips a jab from Handicks. Anderson is looking to counter punch. Anderson lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Handicks misses with a left hand and Anderson counters with a crisp right hand that drops Handicks! Anderson lets Handicks back up to his feet, looking for a finish! Handicks is rocked! Anderson shoots in but no luck this time. Handicks is still on wobbly legs! Can Anderson finish him? Sparky Anderson is winning the standup battle so far. Anderson moves out of range as Handicks strikes. Anderson half committed to a counter leg kick. Anderson tries to close the distance and clinch but Handicks swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. Handicks seems to have recovered his senses. Nice defenses there by Anderson. Anderson is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Handicks can do to turn this around? Anderson sends Handicks crashing to the mat with a devastating uppercut! Anderson is motioning to the referee to let Handicks up. He wants to try and finish this one on the feet! The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Handicks throws a body punch but Anderson moves out of range. Anderson shoots in for a takedown. Oh, that's a huge slam! Handicks is on queer street and Anderson is pounding down on him with a barage of strikes. The ref is forced to step in and stop the fight. Great finish!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:46 of round 4, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Norman Boma! Norman Boma retains his welterweight title! A very excited looking Norman Boma rambled incoherently for about 5 minutes post fight about how awesome he is. It was kinda funny for a while but then everyone got annoyed.
