Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 13 - 9 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Shichiroji San! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 27 - 27 - 0, fighting out of New York, Jesus Sanchez! The judges for this bout are Timothy Bukovac, Jack Bonds and Don Winkell.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! San with a hook. San lunges in with an uppercut that skims his opponent's chin. It looks like Jesus Sanchez has been cut. Sanchez shoots in and drives through. San sprawls well. San waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Sanchez. Sanchez bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes. Sanchez drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. San is looking for a sweep. San can't do much from the bottom here. San is not content to let Sanchez control the position. Sanchez remains in side control and seems content to stay there. It's a versatile position from which he can work both strikes and submissions, whilst maintaining that control, so maybe he'll sit here for a while. You can see the frustration on San's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Petrov throws a lazy right hand but Thai sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily. Petrov backing away here, and Thai unleashes a leg kick that just misses. Petrov throws an overhand right that lands on Thai's shoulder, as Thai tries to avoid the shot. Thai tries to counter by closing the distance. Petrov throws a right and a left that both miss. Thai tries to counter by closing the distance. We've been informed that Thai has been sparring a lot of Muay Thai in the buildup to this fight so let's see if that has an impact on the result. Thai instigates a clinch. Jiang throws an overhand right that lands on Elvul's shoulder, as Elvul tries to avoid the shot. Elvul checks a leg kick. Elvul changes levels looking for a counter takedown but doesn't commit. Jiang fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Elvul manages to avoid it. Elvul fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Jiang looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath. and Jiang cracks him with a counter punch right on the button. Elvul avoids a low kick by using good footwork. Elvul half commits to a counter takedown before pushing away, out of range. Addams drops his hands and takes a jab to the jaw for his troubles. Qiang defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Addams. Addams gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily and Qiang counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw. Addams takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness. Addams manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Qiang on his heels. The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Logan moves away from the strike by Bloodaxe. Bloodaxe ducks under a wild hook from Logan. Logan has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout. Logan lands a leg kick and bounces back out of range. Logan throws out a loose jab but Bloodaxe uses good head movement to avoid it. Logan connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe. Bloodaxe throws a body shot but no joy. Bloodaxe avoids a punch combination nicely.

He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Bloodaxe and we're back underway with a touch of gloves. Logan slips under a jab. Logan is looking to slow Bloodaxe down with leg kicks. Bloodaxe throws an overhand right that lands on Logan's shoulder, as Logan tries to avoid the shot. Logan takes a jab right on the kisser.

Logan sizes up Bloodaxe with a pawing jab and scores with a straight right down the middle. Logan has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Bloodaxe finds it's way round the side to connect with Logan's head. Logan lands a powerful looking uppercut that connected with his opponent's jaw. Logan's corner calls for a 1-2. Logan obliges with the 1 part as he scores the single shot and moves back out of range. Logan does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy. Bloodaxe takes a jab right on the kisser.
Bloodaxe is hobbling a little on that front leg after taking quite a few leg kicks so far in this fight. Logan wants to clinch up but Bloodaxe keeps it at a distance. Bloodaxe pushing out the jab but it's not landing. Logan scores with a hook to the body. Bloodaxe takes a step back and tries to catch his breath. That kick from Logan tenderised Bloodaxe's leg. Bloodaxe is trying to keep his angry face on. Logan scores with a nice head shot. The crowd applaud the fighters' efforts here as the round comes to an end. Bloodaxe moves forwards but Logan connects with a nice, crisp jab. Logan throws an off balance right hand

It seemed like Logan was going to counter with the hook but didn't fully commit to it.

This entire fight has taken place on the feet so far and you wonder whether Bloodaxe might be better served trying to take this one to the ground because he's losing the standup battle so far. Logan scoring well with a low kick there.

Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! A swing and a miss from Logan. Bloodaxe throws a lazy right hand but Logan sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily. A countering left hand to the body from Logan misses.

Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business. Logan stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush. Logan fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Bloodaxe has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage. Logan buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.

And that's the end of the fight! Frankie Logan comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. Well Logan has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today.
