The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Briggs thuds his right hand into Gracie's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters.
It looks like Bryan Gracie has been cut.
Gracie gets cracked there but stands up to it.
A punch combination from Briggs misses.
Gracie lands an overhand left. A wild punch that just about connected.
It looks like Macka Briggs has been cut.
Gracie looks to land a left hand but Briggs moved out of range nicely.
Gracie tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Briggs paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Briggs looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.

Gracie moves into range and clinches up with Briggs.
Gracie is trying to work out of this bad position, with his back against the cage.
Briggs blocks an elbow strike from Gracie.

We've been hearing reports that Gracie has been drilling takedowns in recent sessions so let's see if that has an impact on the result of this fight.

Briggs's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.

Gracie gets caught by a big overhand right and goes down! Briggs gets on top of him and starts throwing some serious punches until the ref intervenes and stops the fight!

After winning the bout, Macka Briggs thanked all his fans and promised he'd do even better in his next fight. The crowd seemed to love his humility.
