The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nice jab there from Sitsongrit.

We've been hearing reports that Evans has been drilling takedowns in recent sessions so let's see if that has an impact on the result of this fight.

Gomi throws the left hand but Peziev avoids the punch easily.
Peziev tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Gomi defends well and Peziev ends up having to push Gomi into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch.

Gomi feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits Pezievs jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist!
It looks like Rafa Peziev has been cut.

We've been told by Kawiwasulu's head coaches at Alpha Brasil that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight.

Temidare has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout.

Temidare feints and then winds up with a huge right hand that connects perfectly and sends Kawiwasulu sprawling to the canvas! Kawiwasulu rolls over backwards and springs off the cage and manages to regain his footing - how acrobatic! Oh, he's still wobbly - can Temidare finish him?!
