Choke dives in and grabs McGuire's left leg, looking for a takedown. McGuire pushes down on Choke's head and hops out.
Choke bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
McGuire throws a hook to the side of Choke's head but Choke sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.

A momentary lapse in concentration from McGuire enables Choke to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. McGuire manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.

Choke postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! McGuire is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Choke, into his guard.

Choke is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! McGuire is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! McGuire has escaped and now he's on top!


Choke escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. McGuire gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

McGuire gets to his feet - Choke follows without any prompting.

A bone on bone clash there as Choke blocks the leg kick.
McGuire tries a head kick but it misses.
McGuire has been the more effective fighter overall so far.
McGuire swings for the body but Choke moves out of range.
Choke seemed to be looking to counter by closing the distance.
McGuire goes for a spinning back kick but it misses.

Choke closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into McGuire's guard.

Choke with a flurry of punches that miss.
Choke is looking to advance position but McGuire has hit a scissor sweep - now he's on top in mount!

Choke slips a leg in and gets back to half guard.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Trollslayer defending well as Finlayson loads up on a big left hand.
Trollslayer with the counter takedown but Finlayson avoids it easily.
Trollslayer uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Finlayson.
Finlayson tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Trollslayer was well out of range. Poor timing from Finlayson.
Trollslayer feints the counter takedown.
Finlayson throws a looping overhand right but Trollslayer ducks down to avoid it.
Trollslayer drops down looking to force a counter takedown but Finlayson defends it well.
Finlayson fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Trollslayer manages to avoid it.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Trollslayer takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it.
Finlayson is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Trollslayer.

Finlayson has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance.

Williams takes a swing at Danger's ribcage but misses.
Williams takes a step back and watches a body kick go sailing past his mid section.
Danger throws a hook to the side of Williams's head but Williams sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
Danger on the wrong end of an overhand right that came out of nowhere.
Williams misses with a right hand
and Danger counters with a body kick that stops Williams in his tracks momentarily.
Danger looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.

Oooooh!!! Danger has knocked Williams down with a huge combo! Danger steps away and waves a wobbly Williams back to his feet! This one might not go much longer!
It looks like Larry Williams has been cut.
Williams looks winded!
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
A punch lands to the side of Williams 's head but he takes it in his stride.
Williams is rocked!
Danger scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business.

Danger sends Williams crashing to the mat with a devastating uppercut! Danger is motioning to the referee to let Williams up. He wants to try and finish this one on the feet!
Williams is still on wobbly legs! Can Danger finish him?
Danger fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Danger throws a powerful right kick. Williams tried to block low but the kick was high! Williams was taken right off of his feet! Danger jumps in to finish the job and the ref tackles him! The fight is over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:07 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Head Kick). Danny Danger!
Danny Danger retains his light heavyweight title!
After winning the bout, Danny Danger thanked all his fans and promised he'd do even better in his next fight. The crowd seemed to love his humility.
