Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Corbiniano Piccirilli! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of New York, Nurislam Alieva! The judges for this bout are Illya Tyunina, Vladimir Khabensky and Fedor Mirinova.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Alieva gets tackled into the cage by Piccirilli. Piccirilli maintains the clinch. An uppercut to the body lands inside from Piccirilli. Alieva is trying to pull guard but Piccirilli has him pressed against the cage. Piccirilli gets through Alieva's defenses to land a nice punch to the side of the head. Piccirilli has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance. Piccirilli working aggressively here.
Piccirilli lands a shoulder strike that jolts his opponent's head backwards. Alieva can't find room to land a body shot as Piccirilli controls the action.
Alieva turns his hips and lands a very nice judo throw into side control! You can see the frustration on Piccirilli's face as Alieva controls the position. Alieva tries to move into full mount but can't pass Piccirilli's legs. Piccirilli wants to control but Alieva postures up. Alieva tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though. Alieva tries for a kimura but Piccirilli is defending well.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Alieva wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Piccirilli, who protects the arm well.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Alieva tries to move into full mount but can't pass Piccirilli's legs. Alieva working away.
The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity. Alieva shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Piccirilli napping and manages to drive through into side control!
That's four minutes gone in the round. Piccirilli tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Alieva wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control. Alieva happy to just control the position for now. Piccirilli can't do much from the bottom here. Alieva is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Piccirilli is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Piccirilli manages to land a sweep and he's now on top! Lovely Jiu Jitsu! And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
Nurislam Alieva dominated that round. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! Alieva fails with the takedown and Alieva takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles. Piccirilli throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Alieva paws at his opponent with the jab and then lunges in with a straight, right on the button. Alieva gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily and Piccirilli counters with a quick right hand to the jaw. It looks like Nurislam Alieva has been cut. Piccirilli throws a poor cross that misses
and Alieva moves into the clinch. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Piccirilli tries to land a shot to the body but it's blocked. Piccirilli blocks a body shot from Alieva. A head punch on the inside from Piccirilli fails to land. A nice right hand lands inside from Piccirilli. A nice left hand lands by Piccirilli.

Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Piccirilli walks away with a smile on his face. Alieva gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head. Corbiniano Piccirilli has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Nurislam Alieva. Piccirilli slips under a jab from Alieva. Alieva with a hook. Piccirilli throws a big shot that misses. Piccirilli takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily. Piccirilli moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross. A swing and a miss from Piccirilli. The fighters circle momentarily. Alieva darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch. Alieva is trying hard to land a takedown here. Piccirilli sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet. Alieva throws a big shot that misses.

and Piccirilli counters with a body kick. Corbiniano Piccirilli is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Nice sprawl there from Piccirilli as Alieva shoots in. Piccirilli forces Alieva back against the cage and clinches. Piccirilli scores with a shot to the side of Alieva's head. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Alieva tightens his grip and picks Piccirilli up, before dumping him to the ground. Piccirilli manages to land in guard. Piccirilli is pulling down on Alieva's head. It's preventing any offense from Alieva, at least for the moment. Alieva postures up.
Nurislam Alieva has got the better of the ground game so far. Alieva has gone for a leg lock! Piccirilli slips out almost immediately though and dives into Alieva's guard. Piccirilli sitting in guard here, content to control.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Alieva lands a beautiful sweep and he's now moved into his opponent's guard. Piccirilli has control of Alieva's left arm, preventing Alieva from doing any damage. Alieva wants to pass the guard but Piccirilli is keeping the position.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Piccirilli pulls Alieva in close to prevent any damage. Alieva sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Piccirilli's guard. Alieva wants to control but Piccirilli is keeping him busy. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Alieva prevents Piccirilli from improving his position. And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close second round but I would say that Corbiniano Piccirilli will probably get the nod. The cut man is working on Nurislam Alieva's cut. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! This is the final round! Alieva doesn't succeed with the takedown and Piccirilli counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head. Alieva on the wrong end of a nice jab. A big right from Piccirilli misses. Alieva tries to counter with a clinch but Piccirilli shakes him off and moves away. Piccirilli lands with a nice body kick. Alieva rushes in with a sloppy looking punch
and Piccirilli counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw. Piccirilli looks to score with a jab to the body but Alieva is just out of range. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Alieva moving in and out of range nicely, whilst landing the scoring shot. That's four minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Alieva will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Ron Jacobs (ranked 24213 p4p, 3924 weight class) and Dana Black (ranked 475 p4p, 385 weight class). Dana Black struggled to make weight for this fight. He only made it down to 156.4lbs at the first attempt and had to take the additional two hours to make the official bout weight. Let's see how much it's taken out of him. The key to victory for Ron Jacobs has got to be keeping the fight on the feet.

Belyaev jumps onto the cage and shouts into the camera. "We did it momma!"
