Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Jimmy Lee (ranked 1455 p4p, 1533 weight class) and Zakir Jumayev (ranked 175 p4p, 183 weight class). Jumayev comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Side to Side kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! Both these guys have solid standup skills and neither is particularly fantastic on the ground, so let's hope for a nice standup war!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 36 - 24 - 1, fighting out of New York, Jimmy Lee! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 27 - 23 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Zakir Jumayev! The judges for this bout are Paulsen Ambrosius, Radbod Blank and Wagner Zegers.
 The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Lee digs a good body shot into Jumayev's ribs. Lee throws out a loose jab but Jumayev uses good head movement to avoid it. Lee throws a leg kick but he was too far away and it doesn't land. Lee looks to score with a jab to the body but Jumayev is just out of range. Lee scores with the left hand. Jumayev knows he should have avoided that one. Lee thows a left - swing and a miss! Lee lands a jab-cross combination. Jumayev takes one on the button. Jumayev has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout. Jumayev takes one to the chin there. Lee swings for the body but Jumayev moves out of range.
And an attempted straight right on the counter from Jumayev! But no joy. Lee is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Jumayev. Lee moves into range and lands a nice leg kick. Lee thows a left - swing and a miss! Jumayev uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Lee.

Lee has been working on his boxing with his coaches at Casa Steel in the buildup to the fight. Lee throws a shot from downtown. Jumayev moves away and avoids it. It seemed like Jumayev was going to counter with the hook but didn't fully commit to it. Jumayev doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Lee bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of Jumayev's head. Nice uppercut there from Lee. Lee throws a decent looking leg kick but it doesn't land clean. Jumayev checks the leg kick. Jumayev misses with a shot to the body and Lee counters with a lovely straight right hand! Lee throws a body punch but Jumayev moves out of range. Jumayev looks like he wants to counter punch here. A quick step to the side and Tetrev tries to counter with a shot to the body but it doesn't connect. Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Tetrev, as that shot connected.

Mordor Mettovaara is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Mettovaara pivots, looking for a leg kick but Tetrev is out of range and Mettovaara settles back down. Mettovaara fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Tetrev has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage. Tetrev throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.

After winning the bout, Mordor Mettovaara thanked all his fans and promised he'd do even better in his next fight. The crowd seemed to love his humility.
