Well Joon has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality.  The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Nice straight punches there by Maron. You know Roy Jones Jr respects the hands of Maron. Sloppy strikes from Miocic. Those never looked like landing. Miocic scores with a jab to the body. Maron moves into range and lands a nice leg kick. Maron connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed Miocic momentarily.
Maron connects with a solid leg kick. Miocic has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Miocic there as he acknowledges the shot. Maron has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout. Maron connects with an inside leg kick. Miocic throws a wild combination but nothing lands. Maron rushes in with a sloppy looking punch
and Miocic counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. A punch combination from Miocic misses. Maron avoids a punch combination nicely.
Maron cracks Miocic with a big right hand that sends him crashing to the floor. Maron has the opportunity to follow him to the ground but instead he's beckoning Miocic to stand back up! Miocic walks forward, straight into a front kick from Maron. Miocic pushing out the jab but it's not landing. A little jabbing left from Maron on the counter but it doesn't find it's target. Some wild striking there from Maron.

 That's one minute gone in the round. Maron lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Maron cracks Miocic with a big right hand that sends him crashing to the floor. Maron has the opportunity to follow him to the ground but instead he's beckoning Miocic to stand back up!
Miocic is rocked! A punch combination from Maron misses. Oh Miocic is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!! Miocic throws a series of punches but Maron moves out of range.
Maron lands a big uppercut and Miocic crumbles to the floor! The ref thinks about stopping the fight but Miocic looks OK. Maron waves Miocic back to his feet! We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Miocic throws a wild combination but nothing lands. Maron circles away before darting back in with a big straight right hand. It connects beautifully and sends Miocic tumbling to the canvas! He's out cold! Maron wins by KO!

It didn't go down that well with the fans after a while as they thought it was a bit arrogant. In defeat, Jon Miocic stepped up to the mic, saying 'He was a tough opponent.
I've had a long career. It's been quite a ride. I don't know what the org has planned for me, but I'll discuss it with my manager and the higher ups after this.'.

 The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Simbolon misses with an uppercut. Gabriel feinted with a counter takedown. Gabriel looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily. Simbolon lands an overhand right. Simbolon moving in and out of range nicely, whilst landing the scoring shot. Simbolon slips under a jab from Gabriel. Simbolon throws a jab but it's blocked by Gabriel. Simbolon scores with a punch to the head. Gabriel on the wrong end of a decent looking cross there.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Gabriel takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily. Simbolon smiles there as he lands a nice right hand right on the button.
Gabriel is rocked! Gabriel tries to get into range but Simbolon steps to the side and lands a beautiful hook that drops Gabriel! He's faceplanted into the mat, ass in the air... he's out cold! That's an image he won't want to show his grandkids when he gets older! Simbolon scores the big KO victory!

 The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Moody throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land. Wow, both these guys are really going for it! Moody fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done. Moody misses with a wild combination.
Moody slips under a jab from Gallegos. Moody cracks Gallegos with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business. Gallegos bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes. Gallegos looks for a takedown but Moody sprawls well. Gallegos is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two. Moody just misses with a punch to the body.

and Moody counters with a stiff right hand. Gallegos cracks Moody with a good jab. Moody slips a jab from Gallegos. Moody lands a beauty of a right hand that gets the crowd cheering.
Gallegos is rocked! The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Moody closes the distance and takes a jab right on the nose as he does so. Gallegos is still on wobbly legs! Can Moody finish him? Moody fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Gallegos manages to avoid it. Gallegos seems to have recovered his senses. Moody swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Moody uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Gallegos. Moody throws a looping overhand right but Gallegos ducks down to avoid it. Gallegos lets it all go there with a big combo counter but none of the punches connected. Moody throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Moody throws a right hand that Gallegos ducks under and follows up with a left that Gallegos also avoids with ease. Gallegos misses the jab.

Moody is moving around nicely and scores here with a single head shot. Gallegos misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
A right-left combo lands from Gallegos. Moody slaps away a takedown attempt from Gallegos, before circling back to the center of the mat. A solid body kick from Moody. Gallegos takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily. Gallegos slips a straight right by Moody. Moody throws a hard body shot but it just misses.

Gallegos stumbles backwards and tries to bounce back off the cage but Moody runs in and jumps on him with a leaping lead hook that puts him out! Wow, that was highlight reel stuff! Awesome finish!

Poor timing from Kallio. Kallio throws a shot from downtown. Eclaro moves away and avoids it. Kallio throws a big shot that misses. Eclaro appears to be looking for a counter takedown. Kallio throws out a loose jab but Eclaro uses good head movement to avoid it. Kallio throws a hook to the side of Eclaro's head but Eclaro sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully. Eclaro drops down looking for a counter takedown but Kallio sprawls and moves away. A low kick from Kallio misses
and Eclaro counters with a takedown into side control. Eclaro tries to cartwheel into mount but he doesn't manage it. Kallio tries to get back to half guard but can't. Eclaro scoring with punches and elbows. Eclaro trying to control the action but Kallio is working from the bottom.
Eclaro goes for an armbar here - this could be all over! But no, Kallio has escaped beautifully and is now on top in side control! Oh, that's unlucky for Eclaro but great work by Kallio. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Eclaro connects with a nice short shot to Kallio's temple. Kallio tries to roll over but Eclaro keeps him under control. Kallio is trying to defend against the ground and pound but Eclaro scores with a couple of nice shots. Kallio manages to get to full guard.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Eclaro lands a couple of good shots and Kallio has given up his back, trying to escape the position! Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Kallio tries to escape the position - he's now mounted. Is that better or worse? Hard to tell! Kallio is looking to improve his position but Eclaro isn't that keen on the idea. Eclaro lands an elbow that was bordering on illegal but the referee lets it go with a warning. Eclaro trying to control but he's not successful this time. Eclaro landing strikes from the mount and Kallio is in trouble! Eclaro is still in mount, landing shots to his trapped opponent. Deiveiredo kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Mission Impossible - Adam Clayton. Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the welterweight championship of the world! Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 14 - 3 - 1, fighting out of Los Angeles, Kawainui Perry! And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 16 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Grant Harklie! The judges for this bout are Skip Squint, Winston Howard and Damien Edna.
 The bell rings for round one and we are underway! A good leg kick by Perry. A looping hook to the body misses from Harklie. Perry does a little dance to reset his feet. Perry feinted there with a counter leg kick. Nice uppercut lands for Harklie. That snapped Perry's head back.
Harklie throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Perry sees it coming and avoids it easily. Perry was looking to counter that move with a punch but didn't quite pull the trigger. Perry lands with a hook. Harklie tried to avoid it but it clipped the top of his head. Grant Harklie seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Perry takes one to the side of the head.
Harklie throws a looping overhand right but Perry ducks down to avoid it.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Harklie tries to throw a body punch but Perry avoids it by throwing Harklie back against the cage. A head punch blocked on the inside by Perry. Perry throws an elbow but it misses.

It looks like Grant Harklie has been cut. Perry blocks a couple of punches on the inside.

With the fighters clinched against the cage, Perry creates a bit of distance for himself and scores with a nice uppercut.
