Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Ryu Inhanamoto (ranked 19 p4p, 144 weight class) and Thomas Rose (ranked 3 p4p, 19 weight class). Rose has chosen Raining Blood as his entrance music. Thomas Rose acknowledges the crowd's support as he enters the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the heavyweight championship of the world! Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 16 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Ryu Inhanamoto! And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 15 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Thomas Rose! The judges for this bout are Kenichi Hosakawa, Taro Takaoka and Yukihiro Yamamoto.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! We've got one fighter who appears to only be looking to counter and the other not looking particularly aggressive either, so we could be in for a dull fight. Rose uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Inhanamoto. Rose looks like he wants to counter punch here. Rose avoids the head kick by Inhanamoto.

It looks like Thomas Rose has been cut. Inhanamoto with a jab. Inhanamoto misses with a body punch
and Rose counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Inhanamoto tries to bum rush Rose with a series of wild strikes but Rose uses good footwork to avoid the assault. Inhanamoto throws a shot from downtown. Rose moves away and avoids it. Rose appears to be waiting to throw a counter punch to the body.
That's one minute gone in the round. Inhanamoto darts in and out, connecting with a jab. Rose takes a shot to the eye socket. That's gotta hurt.
That has opened up Thomas Rose's cut even more. Inhanamoto misses with a jab to the body
and Rose counters into the clinch. Nicely done. A head punch on the inside from Rose fails to land. Rose blocks the elbow strike.

It looks like Ryu Inhanamoto has been cut. Rose struggles to land a body shot inside as Inhanamoto controls his hands.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A short right hand to the side of the head by Rose. Rose scores with a nice hook to the head. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Rose tries a body shot but Inhanamoto blocks it.

Inhanamoto is using his height advantage well here, landing a good percentage of his punches. Inhanamoto on the defensive, avoiding the knees to the body.
Inhanamoto creates a bit of distance and throws an elbow that only just misses. Rose throws a blind hook that connects with the side of Inhanamotos head. Rose tries a knee to the head but he's missed.
Inhanamoto manages to break the clinch.
Inhanamoto slips under a jab from Rose. Rose throws a mid kick that lands with a slap. Inhanamoto is using his reach advantage well here, landing the more effective single shots from range. Rose lands with a shot to the body.

Inhanamoto walks into a straight right hand from Rose. Inhanamoto looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight. Rose throws a leg kick but Inhanamoto moved away. Rose misses with a jab to the body
and Inhanamoto makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range. Inhanamoto throws a poor cross that misses
and Rose counters with a huge overhand right that connects right on the temple, sending him crumpling, face first to the floor! This one is all over! What a knockout!
