With a record of 6 - 4 - 0, fighting out of New York, Fedor Vovchanchyn! The judges for this bout are Richard Clark, James Atkins and Andrew Berry.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Saunders wants to clinch and Vovchanchyn cracks him with a counter punch right on the button. Saunders on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those. Saunders bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Vovchanchyn's head backwards. Saunders dips to his left and cracks Vovchanchyn with an uppercut! Saunders cracks Vovchanchyn with a good shot that sees him stumbling back into the cage. Saunders has been working on his boxing with his coaches at Gym in the buildup to the fight. Saunders scores with a nice right hand.
It looks like Fedor Vovchanchyn has been cut. Saunders tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Vovchanchyn manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat. A little jabbing left from Vovchanchyn on the counter but it doesn't find it's target. Vovchanchyn gets cracked with a nice right hand there by Saunders. The fight stays on the outside here - Saunders looks like he's thinking about clinching though. Bolleke stuffs the takedown attempt from Akechi. Akechi gets slowly back to his feet. Bolleke throws out a counter right but Akechi avoids it with no problem. A jab from Bolleke does it's job there. The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Batirovenkekikala throws a shot from downtown. Couceiro moves away and avoids it. Couceiro goes for a double leg but Batirovenkekikala avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Batirovenkekikala continues to drive forward. A short uppercut from Batirovenkekikala. Batirovenkekikala stays in close to his opponent and throws a right hand to the body. Batirovenkekikala lands with a good tight uppercut to the head. A head punch blocked on the inside by Batirovenkekikala. An uppercut on the inside fails to land for Batirovenkekikala. Batirovenkekikala lands a right uppercut that snaps the head of Couceiro backwards. Couceiro can't get the takedown.

That was a close second round but I would say that Jeff Lee will probably get the nod. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! This is the final round! Lee misses with a body kick. River feints a counter leg kick. Lee gets cracked with a nice right hand there by River. Lee walks forward, straight into a front kick from River. River drops Lee with a hook right on the temple. He thinks about going to the ground but Lee looks back up at him and smiles so River waves him back to his feet - he obviously thinks he can knock him out after that shot landed.

Dismantle digs a good body shot into Areni's ribs. Areni on the wrong end of a nice jab. Areni tries to score with an inside leg kick but telegraphs it and Dismantle is able to avoid easily. Areni has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout. After a battle for position, Loris asserts his dominance and retains side control. Loris tries to move into full mount but can't pass Sitsongrit's legs. That was a close round but Surianglek Sitsongrit did the better work so I'd imagine he'll take it. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. Sitsongrit moves away from the strike by Loris. Loris on the receiving end of a decent leg kick there by Sitsongrit. Sitsongrit obviously looking to wear him down.

Surianglek Sitsongrit has scored more points in the clinch so far. Loris's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. Sitsongrit drives through and clinches with Loris against the cage.
This has been an exciting period of action! Loris drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Sitsongrit gets the underhooks and prevents it.

He pushes Loris off him and springs to his feet nicely. The crowd applauds.

Let's see what he's got on the mat. Sitsongrit keeping moving, preventing Loris from controlling successfully. Loris thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position. Loris controls from within his opponent's guard.

A close fourth round but Hugo Loris will probably get the nod - 10:9. That's time! Sitsongrit's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. This is the final round! A shot to the liver by Sitsongrit. Beautiful body shot. Sitsongrit lands a two punch combo.

Sitsongrit swings wildly with a hook that is half blocked by Loris. Sitsongrit moves away from the strike by Loris. Sitsongrit slips a straight right by Loris. Sitsongrit takes a nice looking leg kick right on the meat of his thigh there.
Loris gets cracked with a nice right hand there by Sitsongrit. Loris takes a shot to the nose. Hopefully that hasn't broken it. Loris misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Sitsongrit.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Loris wants to lay and pray for a moment but Sitsongrit keeps working. Loris tries for a kimura but Sitsongrit is defending well. Sitsongrit wants to escape from the position here - easier said than done! Loris misses with a strike but at least he's keeping busy, looking to cause some damage - that will still help him when it comes to the judges scorecards.

That's four minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Sitsongrit pushes Loris away and creates a bit of space to escape. He's almost out here... but no, Loris gets a good hold of his legs and remains firmly in side control. Sitsongrit managing to avoid any damage from the strikes thrown by Loris.
Loris lands a decent elbow from side control. Loris has knee on belly and now moves to full mount! Trouble for Sitsongrit! Surianglek Sitsongrit is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach. Loris jumps to side control looking for an arm triangle but Sitsongrit manages to avoid the submission attempt. Loris tries to move into full mount but can't pass Sitsongrit's legs. Loris working away.
And that's the end of the fight! Surianglek Sitsongrit showed his dominance in that final round. I think Sitsongrit has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Rua misses with a hook
and Johnson counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw. It looks like Wanderlei Rua has been cut. Rua has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout. Rua throws a big shot that misses. Rua cracks Johnson with a nice right hand that draws applause from the crowd. Some bone on bone action there as Johnson checks a low kick. Luckily it wasn't a particularly hard one. Rua thows a leg kick but Johnson checks it and Johnson connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle. Johnson avoids a lazy jab quite easily. Rua missing with a left hand there. Johnson was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Rua is looking to clinch but Johnson is avoiding it.

A little feinted left hand from Johnson on the counter but he doesn't commit to it. Johnson drops Rua with a hook right on the temple. He thinks about going to the ground but Rua looks back up at him and smiles so Johnson waves him back to his feet - he obviously thinks he can knock him out after that shot landed.
Wanderlei Rua's cut is absolute horrible now. This looks like something out of a horror film with blood covering both fighters.
The referee calls the doctor in to look at Wanderlei Rua's cut. Oh no, the doctor has called an end to the bout!
