The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Griffin has his takedown stuffed
and Wonder counters with a nice low kick that buckles Griffin's knee momentarily.
Wonder circles away from the clinch attempt
and Wonder counters with a nice uppercut.
Griffin looks to land a combination but Wonder avoids it well.
A little jabbing left from Wonder on the counter but it doesn't find it's target.
Griffin swings for the body but Wonder moves out of range.
And an attempted straight right on the counter from Wonder! But no joy.
Griffin throws an ugly left hook that misses
and Wonder counters with a left to the body.

Wonder has hold of Griffin's arm here. He's working for an Americana. It looks like he might have it! Griffin tries to escape but he's just digging himself in deeper - Wonder cranks the arm and Griffin screams in pain! The ref makes a decision and ends the fight before the tap - no complains from Griffin, who is just happy to have his arm attached to his body.

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Frank Hernandez.
