With a record of 18 - 16 - 1, fighting out of St Petersburg, Vlad Tepes lV! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 22 - 18 - 2, fighting out of Los Angeles, Norman Boma! The judges for this bout are Elvis Blanc, Yves DeLean and Gregory Folan.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Boma tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. Tepes lV takes an uppercut right on the button but keeps his composure.
Boma throws a body kick that misses. A leg kick checked by Tepes lV. And Tepes lV counters with a quick kick to the body but Boma blocks it. Boma with a nice looking leg kick. You could hear that one land in a back row.
Boma throws a body punch but Tepes lV moves out of range. It looked like Tepes lV wanted to counter with a hook but didn't fully commit. A head kick by Boma misses and Tepes lV counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head. Boma uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Tepes lV. The fighters circling - Boma throws out the jab but it was never going to land. Tepes lV ducks under a wild hook from Boma. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Tepes lV has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Tepes lV there as he acknowledges the shot. Boma thuds a left hand into Tepes lV's body. Boma catches Tepes lV with a nice straight right. He seems pissed - ooooh, it's on now! On like donkey kong! Boma fails with an attempt to clinch.
We've been informed that Boma has been sparring a lot of Muay Thai in the buildup to this fight so let's see if that has an impact on the result. Boma misses with a right hand and Tepes lV counters with a nice low kick that buckles Boma's knee momentarily. Boma defending well as Tepes lV loads up on a big left hand. Boma misses with a left hand and Tepes lV counters with a straight right hand. Boma chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Tepes lV can pounce on him.
Nice shot lands for Boma. Tepes lV wants to slow Boma down by chopping away at his legs. Boma lands with a cross to side of his opponent's head. Boma is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Boma scores with a jab. and he gets countered with a snapping leg kick. Boma throws a looping overhand right but Tepes lV ducks down to avoid it. Tepes lV swung with a counter right hand that didn't connect. Boma uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Tepes lV. Boma rushes in with a sloppy looking punch
and Tepes lV cracks him with a counter punch right on the button. Tepes lV avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Boma is using his reach advantage to land shots from outside his opponent's range. Boma pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Boma throws the left hand but Tepes lV avoids the punch easily. Boma misses with a straight right. Tepes lV lands a powerful looking uppercut that connected with his opponent's jaw. Boma is rocked! Boma gets off balance looking for a body kick and Tepes lV counters with a big left hand that crumples Boma! He was out before he hit the floor! Brutal knockout!

Somporn Metharom is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach. Pizziconi working the ground and pound from side control.
And that's the end of the fight! Somporn Metharom showed his dominance in that final round. Well I reckon that's a shut out for Metharom, winning every round. Will the judges agree? The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Soares takes a swing at Howard's ribcage but misses. Howard tries to counter with a takedown but Soares is quick to defend against it. Soares gets in close and instigates a clinch. Soares breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Soares lands a jab, followed by a cross and another cross, as Howard backs up against the cage.
It looks like Dean Howard has been cut. Soares throws a wild combination but nothing lands. Soares will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

Soares showing good wrestling skills to control the position. Howard bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Soares's guard. Soares looking to control the pace of the fight rather than finish it. Howard prevents Soares from getting back to his feet. Howard pushing down on Soares's thigh, trying to pass to half guard.
