The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Mandiang lands a big head kick that sends Bryant tumbling to the mat! Mandiang takes a step backwards and waves Bryant back to his feet - he wants the finish! It looks like Kobe Bryant has been cut. Bryant misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Mandiang.

Mandiang ducks under a wild hook from Bryant. It looked like Mandiang wanted to counter with a hook but didn't fully commit. Bryant's coach down at Sprawl N Brawl was telling us pre-fight that they have been working on Bryant's balance. Obviously they view that as a key factor in the outcome of this fight. This has been an exciting period of action! Mandiang lands a beauty of a right hand that gets the crowd cheering.
Bryant is rocked! Aboubacar Mandiang seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Mandiang walks forward and throws a big overhand right! Bryant drops to the floor like a sack of potatoes! Mandiang swarms on him with more punches until the referee wrestles him away from Bryant's unconscious body! Wow, that was brutal!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Mendoza dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Shakes. That did some damage! Shakes avoids the body shot from Mendoza.

Mendoza's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground. Mendoza keeps the fight on the outside. Shakes bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Mendoza's head backwards. Mendoza jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Shakes walks away with a smile on his face. Mendoza gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head. Shakes lands with a straight right. Mendoza didn't see that one coming. Shakes fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Mendoza, pushing him back against the cage. Shakes gets through Mendoza's defenses to land a nice punch to the side of the head. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Shakes misses with an elbow strike.

This has been an exciting period of action! Shakes lands with a right to the head. Mendoza gets control of Shakes's arms and successfully pulls guard. Mendoza will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back.

Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards. Shakes tries to close the distance and clinch but Mendoza swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. Shakes misses with a double jab

He's worked his way up against the cage but Mendoza has just dragged him back down to the mat. Mendoza throws an elbow but Shakes slips to the side and avoids it well. Shakes is not content to let Mendoza control the position. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Shakes is putting a lot of effort into getting back to his feet here.

That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. Shakes tries to land a knee to the head but misses.
Shakes throws a blind hook that connects with the side of Mendozas head. Mendoza tries to circle away but Shakes has him pinned against the cage. A quick uppercut on the inside from Shakes. Shakes lands a right uppercut that snaps the head of Mendoza backwards. Mendoza blocks a knee to the body. He'll have a nicely bruised forearm in the morning. With the two fighters working up against the cage, Shakes just misses with a elbow thrown towards Mendoza's brow. Shakes tries to work over Mendoza's body with a swooping hook but it only glances the target. Shakes with a knee to the head.

Akinwande saw that one coming. Keji throws a lazy right hand but Akinwande sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily. Akinwande is looking for a counter combo. Keji looks to throw the jab but Akinwande is out of range. It looked like Akinwande was looking amped, ready to throw a big counter but didn't commit. Some wild striking there from Keji.

Akinwande looks to score with a combo but nothing lands. Akinwande lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh. Akinwande darts in trying to clinch and Keji counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head. A nice inside leg kick there by Akinwande. That's going to slow Keji down.

Keji thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet! Akinwande is rocked! The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Keji looks to land a left hand but Akinwande moved out of range nicely. Akinwande tries to get into range but Keji steps to the side and lands a beautiful hook that drops Akinwande! He's faceplanted into the mat, ass in the air... he's out cold! That's an image he won't want to show his grandkids when he gets older! Keji scores the big KO victory!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Xiaodong avoids a lazy jab quite easily. Xiaodong on the receiving end of a decent leg kick there by Bualuang. Bualuang obviously looking to wear him down.
Bualuang lands a lovely overhand right. Xiaodong on the wrong end of a nice hook. Bualuang misses the shot to the body. Xiaodong throws a big shot that misses. Bualuang misses with an uppercut. Xiaodong throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Bualuang sees it coming and avoids it easily. Xiaodong is looking to chop away at Bualuang's legs. Bualuang throws a looping overhand right but Xiaodong ducks down to avoid it. Bualuang keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Xiaodong takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh. Xiaodong lands a nice looking body shot.
Bualuang swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target. Bualuang misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Xiaodong checks a low kick. Bone on bone - not my idea of a good time. A little feinted left hand from Xiaodong on the counter but he doesn't commit to it. Bualuang connects with the punch. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Bualuang lands with a shot to the body. Xiaodong pushing out the jab but it's not landing. Bualuang swings away with a counter right hand but no contact made. Bualuang lands with a straight right. Xiaodong didn't see that one coming. Xiaodong ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent. Bualuang throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land. Wow, both these guys are really going for it! Bualuang lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
That's one minute gone in the round. Bualuang on the receiving end of a decent leg kick there by Xiaodong. Xiaodong obviously looking to wear him down.
Bualuang moves out of range as Xiaodong strikes. Bualuang ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Xiaodong moves away. Bualuang slips a straight right by Xiaodong. Bualuang throws the left hand but Xiaodong avoids the punch easily. Xiaodong turns his hip over beautifully as he lands a nice leg kick. Xiaodong takes a nasty kick to the mid section... That should keep him thinking. Does he try and block and risk a head kick landing?

Bualuang throws a jab when Xiaodong was well out of range. Bualuang throws a body kick that misses. Xiaodong uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Bualuang. A looping hook to the body misses from Xiaodong. Bualuang does a little dance to reset his feet. Xiaodong throws out a leg kick but Bualuang moves out of range and Xiaodong only half commits. Bualuang misses with a looping left. Bualuang throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
