Isamu was an amateur boxer from Tokyo before meeting MMA manager David Septim at a video game assembly in Japan. Septim convinced him to participate in KT and despite Isamu not having any prior experience, he jumped at the chance. Initially went undefeated 18-0, in an interview with a Japanese reporter he credited it to 'beer and cigarettes' consumed before fights. Beat James Dalton to become the inaugural SSKT Champion (10 defences). #1 LHW, #5 P4P in KT at only age 23. |
