With a record of 39 - 29 - 2, fighting out of Amsterdam, Pablo Noriega! The judges for this bout are Eliza Hachem, Darius Henderson and Ben Watson.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Erminus ducks under a wild hook from Noriega. It looked like Erminus was looking amped, ready to throw a big counter but didn't commit. Noriega misses with an attempted mid kick.
Pablo Noriega seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Erminus looks for a takedown but Noriega sprawls well. The sound of bone on bone echoes around the arena as Erminus checks a leg kick. Noriega thows a left - swing and a miss! Noriega throws a low kick, looking for Erminus's leg but Erminus calmly moves out of range. Noriega lunges in with an uppercut that skims his opponent's chin. Erminus throws a quick head kick that skims the top of Noriega's head. Erminus tries to score with an inside leg kick but telegraphs it and Noriega is able to avoid easily. Erminus closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Noriega's guard. Erminus gets to his feet - Noriega follows without any prompting. Erminus tries to score a power double leg takedown but Noriega sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Erminus somewhat. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Jetmir Erminus. That's going to take a lot out of him.

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Noriega pivots, looking for a leg kick but Erminus is out of range and Noriega settles back down. Erminus tries to bum rush Noriega with a series of wild strikes but Noriega uses good footwork to avoid the assault. Some bone on bone action there as Noriega checks a low kick. Luckily it wasn't a particularly hard one. Noriega connects with a lovely jab that went straight through the gap between Erminus's hands. Erminus fails with the takedown and Noriega makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range. Erminus misses with a two punch combination.

Noriega throws a lazy right hand but Erminus sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily. Erminus is hobbling a little on that front leg after taking quite a few leg kicks so far in this fight. Noriega rushes in with a sloppy looking punch
and Erminus counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground. Noriega manages to wriggle out and sneak his way back up to his feet, so the fighters are now clinched up against the cage. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Noriega working hard to break the clinch. Erminus avoiding damage.

And that's the end of the fight! That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Jetmir Erminus. I think Erminus has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.

Sokol lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.

Kock working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Sokol doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Sokol manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem. Sokol lands a couple of digs. Kock is looking for a triangle but Sokol pushes his legs off easily.
Sokol makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard. Sokol postures up in Kock's guard and throws a big left but Kock blocks it. Sokol trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat. Both fighters have adopted an aggressive gameplan on the ground! Sokol stands up over his opponent, looking to dive in with a big punch. Here he comes, superman style! Oh, the punch misses and Kock has got him in a triangle choke for good measure! Oh no! Sokol manages to get his head free but now Kock has transitioned to an armbar! Sokol grimaces and is forced to tap! Beautiful Jiu Jitsu from Kock! I'd be surprised if that didn't end up as submission of the night!

We've been hearing reports that Buddha has been drilling takedowns in recent sessions so let's see if that has an impact on the result of this fight. Canizares fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Buddha manages to avoid it. Canizares lands with an uppercut that bounces Buddha off the cage and back into range.
